Yea, don't bother. Just go read the review thread in Steam, that's plenty entertaining.

Ingamr is the only one I know according to Steam that owns it, so I gotta ask: how is Warmachine Tactics?

It's still very early beta but I think it has promise - I have it because I Kickstarted it. I haven't given it a lot of time yet, but it seems to be a pretty good translation of the tabletop rules.

That said - I would not pay the fee for early access at this point. There's no map variety or ability to change your warbands yet, lots of bugs, animation problems, etc. There's absolutely promise of a good multiplayer tactical game down the road here, but I would wait for an official release at the very least.

I kickstarted it also, but not enough for the beta.  Good to hear I should be happy to sit around and wait, heh.

I would also add that there's no way (as of the last time I checked into it) that it will be ready by their alleged August release date.

So in the aftermath of the sale, I recieved a bunch of card packs, and decided to finish up some more badges.  Got a couple of limited time coupons for random shit.  So, anybody have info on these games?

Age of Mythology: Extended Edition  (50% off)
The Promised Land  (50% off)
10 Second Ninja  (66% off)
Richard & Alice  (66% off)
Quest of Dungeons (66% off)
Titan Attacks (66% off)

I also have two 25% off coupons for Pixel Piracy, if anybody is interested.

Age of Mythology was alright, but it's up to you to decide if even $15 is worth it for the 12 year-old little brother to Age of Empires.

Well yeah, I had heard some people talk Age of Mythology in the past, so was curious if they felt it was worth that much (I did love the shit out of Age of Empires).

Currently, The Promised Land and Richard & Alice intrigue me the most.  I'd really love to hear something on the Promised Land.  It looks and sounds too perfect.  I may pull the trigger (and probably regret it).

I haven't played it, but I have played The Happy Hereafter, which is by the same dev and looks basically the same maybe (but ghost themed instead of settler themed), which is basically a fairly polished but kinda shallow facebook-ish "time management" game.  It's not a bad time waster (especially for non-core gamers) but it's not super engaging or deep or anything either.

Has anyone played Deadbreed?  Is it creepy?  Is it good?  Not necessarily in that order.  You know.

Wait.  I think I may have accidentally made this game up because I don't see it anymore.  Sorry.  I don't know what I was thinking of.  I'm an idiot.  :(

Shows up for me, under early access.  Seems a bit early in development from what I hear.  Once it launches it's supposed to be F2P, so personally I'm holding off until then.

You're a musician!  I see it from your link!  Yes, that's the one.  I don't think I'd buy it now but I just hadn't heard of it and it looks like something I could be interested in.  Thanks!

Musician?  Sorry.   ACK!   I think I meant magician.  Geez.

Dungeon Defenders Eternity: I know this isn't DD2, but I can't tell if there's anything here worth buying if I already own the original and all of it's DLC. It mentions that previous saves won't transfer, but I can't tell if it includes the DLC already or if you can even use it if you already bought it.

If you own the original and its DLC, there is zero reason to buy Eternity. Eternity is just a port of the mobile version in a tweaked engine with some balance changes and a metric shitton of microtransactions.

I've been getting into it and it's been worth the 6 bucks so far, but I own almost none of the original DLC. I'm not sure I'd want to go through the grind of hitting cap with my first character (or 72+? Not sure what cap is anymore) without the occasional novelty of a new map or character class.

The itemization hasn't pissed me off yet, so if that holds up through Nightmare it'll be a big improvement over the original, but some of the other balance changes are a little wtf (Dark Elf Ninja Assholes are stronger than they used to be, my lightning towers have super shitty range now, and from what I hear physical damage is useless even for DPS characters). I should find out soon whether the shitty design decisions overpower the underlying fun late enough to make it an improvement over DD1.

So, Starforge - currently on sale for $5. It's an early access game, is it worth it?

If you're thinking of buying Pineview Drive, don't.  I dl'd the demo and wandered around a scary mansion turning on lights, lighting candles and finding keys to locked doors.  Sometimes I'd lose some life but I don't know why.  You don't fight or run or do anything but find keys for doors that are locked and that's all of them.

It gave me mental confusion.   ACK!

So, there's a big Capcom sale on now, anything jump out at anyone as particularly buyable or avoidable?  Specifically, kind of wondering about DmC, which looked like a disaster before launch but I've heard might not be bad maybe or something?  And ironically I don't remember if "Remember Me" was any good or not?

I'd like to echo Kail's question about Remember Me.

The reviews I've seen aren't flattering.   It's down to burrito price, however, so you could always take a gamble.

Amalur is on sale this weekend. I see a few of you have it as well. I heard it was actually pretty decent, but then the patch got fucked by the iceberg finally hitting the titanic. Worth getting? And if so, the regular or complete editions?

Amalur is fun for a while, but it's very bland and generic. It's quite well done though. It's also very easy, you out-level the story very quickly if you do any side quests.

Amular is like playing a single player MMO.

Word of advice, do not do any side quests.  Seriously, there are ridiculous number of side quests and most of them aren't interesting at all (like very very low end MMO style quests).  If you get OCD like I did at the beginning and try to 100% an area you will burn out on the game very quickly.  You want to stick with main and faction quests.

I played 10 hours before I got bored, but that boredom could have just been boredom that came on from wasting too much time on sidequests...

I had Numen sitting in my library for a while, and finally fired it up because i was sick of playing Tanks.

It's trash. I couldn't even stomach it enough to get out of the starting area.

Space Run, on the other hand, is much more fun. It almost feels like a weird reverse-tower defense game.

Can I get an rk47 review of Sakura Spirit? For science or something.

No its more like Frozen Synapse meets original Rainbow 6 I think. I was interested and then heard mobile port and wrote it off. No first hand experience.
