http://uk.gamespot.com/features/dead-rising-3-reaches-for-the-call-of-duty-crowd-6409900/Capcom Vancouver presented Dead Rising 3 behind closed doors, walking us through the demonstration that debuted during the Microsoft press conference while answering questions about the direction that they've taken. The changes that you can see in images were not a fluke. Capcom is pointedly trying to appeal to a wider audience in this latest iteration, saying it's going after the Call of Duty player. Gone is the cartoonish visual design, replaced by a more "realistic" interpretation of a viral apocalypse. That change is part of the maturation. By shifting the art style, the combat can be "more visceral" than in previous versions, with "real gore." And Capcom has learned nothing from Resident Evil 6. And apparently knows nothing about what Dead Rising fans like or want in their game. I have doubts they'll even capture the crowd they want at this point. I'll wait for the PC port/Steam sale on this one, I think.

The precision with the mouse comes from your whole hand/whole arm not just one digit of your finger though.
I begin to see your problem with the interface. I haven't moved my arm to mouse since I owned a 486.

As a leftie, I can safely say that WASD is the devil's work.
I always assumed lefties remapped the keys to use some cluster on the right side of the keyboard. The keyboard+mouse control model works well for me because it puts movement under the control of my off-hand (where my less fine grained control is balanced by the simpler digital controls) and finer control under my dominant hand. Then it adds a giant pile of additional buttons for quick access to stuff which avoids the need for fishing through multi-level menus to get at things, definitely a win.

No, even as a left the kb/m isn't that bad because you're still trained to use the right-handed way so muscle-memory kicks in (similar to people who "correct" being left handed). Really WASD is fine as a leftie, but fuck most other things.

As a leftie, I think you are nuts! I use the mouse with my right hand, which leaves my strong hand to do the stuff that actually requires more dexterity, which is reaching all over the keyboard for different binds. I think the default mouse setup is actually better for us than it is for righties.

Sorry I'm just a crazy man making shit up to fight on the internet because that's always a good idea. Wait, there are people that actually like to control their toon with WASD + QE? I don't even... It's... like I don't know you guys anymore The keys are too close together, there isn't anywhere you can rest your hand, the top row of keys is slightly more elevated than the bottom row and each key in the top row is moved a few millimeters to the left relative to the bottom row. If I use that control scheme for more than an hour my fingers and hand start to hurt. Put strafing on Q and E and it becomes even more awkward to use. I really, really hate it.

Yeah, the encoder technology is not inherently less advanced or less precise in analog sticks. The most notable differences are the amount of travel available (a mouse can move much further than a gamepad stick) and human motor control differences between moving one digit and the entire hand.

You should raise him to be computer ambidextrous. I learned to use the mouse with both hands for work, I feel like a god among men.

Half of the Wii U's games are console exclusives. Yay!
Also, is that NBA Live 14??? There hasn't been an NBA LIve in awhile. Too bad it's only PS and XB. 2k14 should be released this year, although it also will most likely only be PS and XB.

Hmm, really? I played BF2142 for a bit......found the game to be very bland and boring. Maybe I didn't give it enough time, but that seems to be the last game of the series they should be remaking.

Thanks for posting that chart of which console gets what.
Can someone explain why Bayonetta 2 would be on the wii? I'm so fucking lost right now and sad. I mean Bayonetta is all boobs and over the top and eye candy and boobs and colorful craziness. How the fuck does any of that fit on the wii instead of the other two?
Also it seems odd that Destiny is on both generations but it is supposed to be looking like that. I can't imagine fps holding up at all on 360/PS3.
As for the PS4, while The Division and FFXV both look really really cool they are both TPS shooters with thumbsticks, so no thanks unless they are literally flawless. I mean The Division on paper sounds fucking amazing but I stopped being fooled by on paper amazing in the 90's.
*edit* According to the thread for it Division will be on PC, so yeah no fucking way I consider PS4 in the first year unless EVERYONE is saying FFXV is some kind of amazing return to form *edit*
Meanwhile PC gets tons of titles, many of them ones that I might be interested in. Cool.

A nation consists of its laws. A nation does not consist of its situation at a given time. If an individual's morals are situational, then that individual is without morals. If a nation's laws are situational, that nation has no laws, and soon isn't a nation. -William Gibson

Probably cause Bayonetta didn't do all that well, relatively speaking, so none of the cross-platform publishers were willing to fork over money for 2 and Nintendo in a fit of madness from the lack of developers doing Wii U exclusive games decided to give them some money.

It's better than Battlefield 3. I'm liking Battlefield 3 a lot lately really. The DLC is total hit-miss however. I personally don't like the Karkand map in the Karkand DLC but the rest is alright, Close Quarters is balls and no one plays it, Armored Kill has awesomely huge maps but is miserable with pubbies, Aftermath is great, Endgame is pretty great so far.
