We're off.

Play these matches by 20th May:

       Hi Fructose Khorne Syrup
 ~vs~
Explosions in the Sky
Brawling Belgian Brewers
 ~vs~
? ? ?
Muscle Daddies
 ~vs~
Polska All Stars
Paul Bearers
 ~vs~
Magrathea Cricket Club
Centaurs of Attention
 ~vs~
Turd Burglars
Coldfingers
 ~vs~
Final Ladies
Chaos String Theorists
 ~vs~
Syners United
Cupcake Madness
 ~vs~
Heroes of Blood & Bowl

As ever matches are played in the feeder league, reported ITT, uploading to the feeder league data in BBM is encouraged.

This round is paired by f13 rating. After this teams will be paired against teams on a similar number of points.

Ranking will be determined by number of points (one for a win, half for a tie) and ties broken by number of points your prior oppoents have scored, however, if two or more teams at the top finish on the same number of points, the top two will be required to play an ULTIMATE DECIDER match, if that match is tied, EVERYBODY LOSES.

In a pinch matches can be carried over if not played on time, however, late matches will count as a win for pairing and a loss for ranking until played. If too many matches build up unplayed I will arbitrary assign results on a whim.

As I recall you keep odd hours so maybe we can get a game in Saturday when I'm not playing Teleku in the real league.

Mister Haemish, I am not around until Sunday evening (euro time) but I am available to play at any time after that. Also I am (as most of us indolent socialists in Europe tend to be) unemployed, therefore I can play at inhospitable hours to suit your schedule.

Since I've got my playoff game with Ulysses this weekend, I may not be available until next week for a game. Weeknights I'm available after 7:30 pm CST (GMT-5 so 12:30 am GMT) until about 10 pm CST. Weekends obviously are more flexible. I know that next Saturday I'll be out in the afternoon to see Star Trek but will otherwise be free.

Llyse!  This'll be fun, I always love our matches and it's been a while.  Are you free at all this weekend?

Aren't you playing dwarves? Might be a bit hard to meta-game, unless it's some kind of amazon revese mindfuck.

But it wont be, so lets try for the weekend.

Also, sorry to ask this because I think I may have missed it during the league's inception - are we making completely new teams, or any FL teams eligible?

Chaos String Theorists get a 2-1 win over Syners United mostly due to the great insane number of 1s rolled by the dark elves. Was there any specific place to upload the matches (in bbmanager) for this or should I just put it somewhere?

There's no requirement to BBM the matches because they don't require validation. (That said I don't know if Eldaec wants to track stats, etc.)

Was a terrible match, probably my worst, based purely on rolls alone. Every time I needed a 2+ it failed, every time it didn't matter it worked fine. I can see why people hate this game :(

Yeah, I should be available all day Saturday and Sunday, as I don't have any plans (well, later tonight I may go to a bar and see if I can shag a hot waitress that's been flirting with me).  Again, I'm GMT +1, just message me on steam if you see me online and you're ready.

Not an issue, figured something was up. Anyhoo, seeing as I'm GMT-6 to your +10 I'm guessing we'd best start scheduling for a weekend match, unless you'd rather flip a coin* to determine who'll be the poor sod who gets to wake up super early on a weekday.

Centaurs of Attention 2 - Turd Burglarz 0

Underworld team is a limp noodle. I got a lot of lucky 1D blocks in the first half, but the Chaos Dwarves superior armor and all that block made sure what little traction I made in the 2nd half was quickly nullified. 2 gobbos will miss the next game, including the one who got MVP and now has a -1 MV.

Yeah, this wasn't at all as one-sided as the scoreline makes it seem - right up until about turn 12 then it went south fast for the Undersworld. I chose to receive in the first half and the ball was kicked off field so I obviously gave it to the Centaur who wasn't marked on the LoS. I caged up around him and then ground forwards slowly but surely for 7 turns until he broke out of the cage on the last turn and made a triple GfI to score. The block dice were surprisingly even to start with despite all the block on the Chaos Dwarf side. Haemish threw a lot of 1d blocks that went well for him and, when it wasn't being stupid, the Troll was cracking heads pretty well. When we went into the second half, the Dwarfs had fewer players on the pitch than the Underworld team.

The second half however was where it all started going wrong. Failed dodges, a bunch of injuries and some sideline surfing thinned out the ranks of the Turdburglarz. They made a run for the line but I guess Haemish didn't spot the unmarked Dwarf blocker who was in blitz range of the lightly supported runner. The ball carrier went down and the ball was surrounded by Chaos Dwarfs. There was a bit of a skirmish around it but thanks to the overwhelming numbers, there was little chance of the Underworld team picking the ball up, let alone getting it out of there. Eventually failed pickups sent it over the line and the crowd threw it back in to the Underworld half. A goblin ran to get it but there wasn't enough support to cover him and he got mugged hard almost immediately. From there I held the remnants of Haemish's team on the floor while I put the ball out of reach, finally on the last turn I handed off to the same Centaur who had scored earlier and made it 2-0.

Polska All Stars get flexed on by the Muscle Daddies, 2-1.  Zeb Atlas the bloodthirster inflicts three injuries in his inaugural performance, including a -1 MV on a dwarf and a death rerolled to a -1 str on a bull centaur.

Teleku was pretty badly nuffled and also had some iffy positioning to kick things off; knowing teleku, that means that by next game he'll have monster dice and a counterstrategy that just wollops poor drogg.

first ever game as these guys.  khorne has a neat kit, but without the horns/juggernaut dudes they'd be in trouble.   desperately in need of block/guard!  if i hadn't surfed/injured half of teleku's dudes early on it would've been a very different match.

Coldfingers fall 1-2 to the Final Ladies (whose theme I have not yet figured out).   The Ladies avoided being knocked down by what seemed like an amazing number of staggered die rolls.   Curse you, Dodge!

Only lasting injury to the Coldfingers was to zombie Max Zorin, who will be missing the next game.   Zombie Rosa Klebb was the MVP, for no discernible reason.

I think someone closed the Feeder League on BB Manager.  Won't let me upload to it.  I uploaded to the Public DB instead.

I don't have a lot of Agi/Dodge team practice, but I certainly got a workout today.  I made a crap-ton of risky moves, esp. the final "pass off to a blizter, who fumbles it to land into the hands of a linewoman, who ran it up, GFI'd x2 successfully, tossed it over the head of a zombie to another linewoman that said zombie was next to, dodged out of the zombie's TZ, and ran it into the endzone with one GFI on turn 16" play.  This team must be fucking blessed or something.  DRILLING AND WOMANLINESS

No level ups, but I got a nice chunk of SPPs for my blitzers and one of my linewomen.

Coldfingers fall 1-2 to the Final Ladies (whose theme I have not yet figured out).

Look at the names of my Ladies.  If you still don't know, it's probably a good thing.   why so serious?
