The format is as before.  You list the winners only.  1pt for Wild Card games then the points double each round.

To help you, here is the initial bracket with the seeds so no one screws up the next round:

NFC
Vikings (6) @ Packers (3)
Seahawks (5) @ Redskins (4)
49ers BYE (2)
Falcons BYE (1)

AFC
Bengals (6) @ Texans (3)
Colts (5) @ Ravens (4)
Broncos BYE (1)
Patriots BYE (2)

My picks are

Wild Card (1pt): Packers, Redskins, Texans, Colts
Division (2pt): Packers, Redskins, Broncos, Patriots
Conference (4pt): Packers, Broncos
Suberbowl (8pt): Broncos

Cincinnati, Paelos?  Really? Why?

Houston lost 3 of their last 4, dropped out of the bye, and had to go to OT to beat the Jags and Lions.

Meanwhile Cincy wins 3 of their last 4, beat their traditional rivals to get in, and has a comparable QB with a better pass rush than the Texans.

Call it two teams trending in different directions.

NFC
Vikings (6) @ Packers (3) - PACK ALL THE WAY! RODGERS! Seriously, playing at Lambeau should be the difference in what will probably be the best matchup of the weekend.
Seahawks (5) @ Redskins (4) - Sea Chickens. Can't see that defense not shutting down RGIII.

AFC
Bengals (6) @ Texans (3) - Game of the bleargs. I think Houston pulls this one out.
Colts (5) @ Ravens (4) - Colts in a stunner. I am absolutely not sold on the Ravens.
Broncos BYE (1)
Patriots BYE (2)

So by round:
Wild Card (1pt): Packers, Seahawks, Texans, Colts
Division (2pt): Packers, Seahawks, Patriots, Broncos
Conference (4pt): Packers, Broncos
Suberbowl (8pt): Broncos

Why does it have to be hate? I like to view it as "just like the other team more".

Perhaps semantics, but all the teams worked hard to get where they are.

Mostly, it's that the Falcons are "okay" in general, and terrible at the run.

They are good at home, and it's also about match-ups.

If Minnesota wins against the Packers the Falcons would go to the conference championship.  That likely won't happen though.

Their best win, imo, is Week 2 at home against Denver. The talk here is that people shouldn't qualify that by saying "well it was early in the year." My problem with that logic is that they were playing a QB who sat out a year on the road for the first time. It was unequivocally Manning's worst game of the season, and the Falcons only won by 6.

People also say, yeah but they already beat Washington, and Seattle's not great on the road. True, but Washington played without their QB for a half (Falcons were losing that game before he was knocked the fuck out). Tampa has given the Falcons a run for their money twice. The Falcons have a negative pass rush. Their run defense is the absolute worst of any playoff team except for Indy. They haven't played a playoff team since Week 5. They played the absolute easiest schedule in the NFL this year, followed by Cincinnati, and Indianapolis.

They score fewer points per game than Washington against worse opponents. They give up more points per game than Seattle against worse teams. They might win. They might get past that mental block they have in the playoffs, even. They are going to have a score a lot to do it though.

The Falcons are just going to have to prove to me they can win in the playoffs. They haven't done so. There isn't a lot of difference personnel wise between this team and the team that got ABSOLUTELY SKULLFUCKED by the Giants last year.

If you can run on the Falcons, you will crush the fuck out of them. Tampa Bay went 144 on the ground, and won. Carolina went for 195 on the ground, and won. Saints go for 148 rushing, win.

Giants only went for 97 yards on the ground and got shut out. Detroit, 79 yards on the ground, loss. Saints 101 on the ground, loss. Tampa for 50 on the ground, loss.

The exception is Arizona who went 137 on the ground, and lost the game. The problem there was they are so hilariously shitty as a team, they couldn't capitalize on Matty Ice throwing 5 picks.

The Falcons will most likely be facing either Marshawn Lynch (SEA is #3 in Rushing) or Alfred Morris (WAS is #1).

And maybe if they get past that they run into #4 San Francisco, and if Minnesota beats GB then they bring the #2 rushing offense into Atlanta instead. The only bad rushing team in the NFC playoffs is Green Bay, other than the Falcons themselves.

I see your logic here.  As someone who's had to put up with them as the local franchise for the last 20 years I don't agree with it, but I see it.   They're just wildly inconsistent and know how to lose a game they should win while looking like contenders in meaningless (to them) games.

Your Divisional is screwed up. If Bengals advance from the first round, they play Broncos.

However, DeJuan Harris looks like he could be a solid, effective runner for the Packers. He could make the difference the same way James Starks did in the playoffs when the Pack won the Super Bowl.

Wildcard-
SEA over WAS
CIN over HOU
IND over BAL
GB over MIN

3/4 road teams..I am insane.

Divisional-

SEA over ATL
DEN over CIN
NE over IND
SF over GB

Conference
SEA over SF (god this will feel good if it happens, because fuck Harbaugh)
DEN over NE

Super Bowl
SEA over DEN- Seattle has beaten every other top team (I don't include the fraudulent Falcons or freefalling Texans in this), so this is the last one.

3 road victories and then the Super Bowl. Karma fucking OWES Seattle fans this.

See my take on that in the NFL 2012 thread.

I am talking about Super Bowl XL and the crap officiating. I am talking about 35 years of Mariner fandom getting shit on 90% of the time. I am talking about losing our only 'world' champion team to a corrupt owner (and commissioner) of a sport with a broken business model. I am talking about living through the Ty Willingham era. About the 'model franchise' in MLS shitting all over itself every autumn. I am even talking about my darling Hope Solo marrying Jerramy FUCKING Stevens. I have suffered enough, lawd. When's MY time?

The bookies all seem pretty bullish on the Falcons relative to this thread, and my gut instinct. Seems like the odds are all pretty cut-and dried based on seeding and not much else.
