I do wish someone would steal the music system. Sitting around a lifestone and jamming was fun. That was the one unique thing about AC2 that I missed after leaving.
Pretty sure they used it for LOTRO.
No. They were different. I never wanted to mute anyone in AC2, they way I want to mute everyone playing a song in LotRO.
Here's what you did in AC2.
1) Equip an instrument
2) Press a number key to select which part you'd play
3) Everyone playing near each other, would automatically play together. If a tumerok was in the group, he/she could play their drum.
Here's what you do on LotRO.
1) Equip an instrument
2) Google to see if someone has figured out how to play the song you want, in the LotRO system
3) Download the song, plug it into the game
4) Go to the most crowded auction house or holiday event you can find, and play your annoying song until I mute you.
The systems are different. LotRO's requires a lot more work, especially if you are figuring out the song for yourself. And there's no auto-harmonizing/jamming in LotRO; if two people are playing different tunes, it's cacophony.
