Dark Souls is on sale for 19.99. Who wanted it again?

The Steam key is $14.99 on Amazon.com.

Amazon seems to be matching or beating Steam's daily deal prices pretty regularly. XCOM is $24.99, Borderlands 2 is $29.99, and Guild Wars 2 is also half-off ($29.99).

They're also matching whatever site someone found Amalur at, it was $12 the other day for the complete version. Whoever is running Amazon's digital catalog is pretty on point. Which I love since I get triple rewards, though my Prime doesn't factor into digital stuff.

Reminder to use the referral link in the upper right. I need to see if coolstuffinc has one also.

The Towns description is pretty useless, there's no good videos up on steam for it, and the forums are filled with controversy talking about how it's not finished and issues.

The tiny blurb (building towns over dungeons and an rpg side) sounds like it could be interesting but it sounds like they aren't even trying to advertise it at all.

FWIW - the remake of Karateka stands up to the original nicely.

That would be awesome if I could actually get those deals from Amazon here in Canada.

Grabbed Max Payne 3 and Dark Souls yesterday on impulse.

Unlikely I'll end up getting anything else, but who knows? I'm getting hopelessly behind on my games.

I finally spent the 50 bucks that's been sitting in Steam for a couple of years or so now.  I got Dark Souls, which looks so hard that I'll probably regret it, and The Secret World, which who knows when I'll get around to it.  I'm mostly playing shooters right now because I don't have to think so much.  Thinking is NOT my strong point lately.  Thanks to people who made suggestions!   Heart

Odd, I was able to pick up Towns last night from northern IL without issues around the time you posted that

I got more than $10 worth of play from Tropico 3, based on that experience I'll be picking up Tropico 4 for $6 and the two DLCs which are on sale for $1 each.

I'd say give it a shot if you enjoy city builders. I think there's also a demo if you're not sure, but at $6 I'd guess most people will buy dumber shit more expensive just during this week alone....fuck I hate how easy purchases are to justify this time of the year Ohhhhh, I see.

Everyone keeps saying The Walking Dead game has the saddest ending ever.  I don't mind funny, happy, scary, gory, gruesome, I LOVE creepy, but I don't like sad.  I love the series... all except the sad bits.

Yeah,  the game was seriously out of my comfort zone, in many places. But that's part of what makes it so great. I don't think I've ever felt such ownership in a game's story.

Bought it in the summer. Fun. $6 is about right.

I was in Seattle at a dinner and completely forgot to get dark souls. I'm sure it'll come around again on a flash sale.

Dark souls is still at silly mark-ups.

Decided to limit myself to one big game and had to pick between Skyrim and Secret World. Skyrim probably would have been more fun, but Secret World could probably use some support and will be interesting to explore. So many zombie games though.

I would recommend Skyrim so hard for anyone who hasn't bought it yet.  I put in 100+ hours in it and came nowhere near beating it.

I should play it again sometime.

This.

Actually, I modded a bunch of annoyances out and am giving it another go. It really is a fantastic game.
