Of course, I went home and forgot all about Human Revolution.  I can't possibly buy it now at the higher price!

I don't know what I'm doing looking at these sales anyway.  It isn't as if I can even play the games I have.

What's your steam id Cyrrex? Are you in the F13 group?

Many thanks. Might have to make an rpg called DIKU now.
You should make the UI have levels, too.  Make us grind to open menus.

Hahahaha!  I'm really good at this!

Having now looked at Dishonored, I think I might pick that up. And probably Xcom (it says the holiday sale, 25% off, goes through 5-Jan, so not much hope of anything lower, methinks).
Worth it. I picked it up the last time it was $30. Long enough to feel you got your money's worth on one playthrough. And if you're a completionist type who wants to get all the achievements, you'll probably play it through 2-3 times because of the different ways you can solve the levels.

I'm kinda tempted by Trine 2. Not part of the sale, but I loved the first one and it's $7.49 until 1/5/13. Anyone playn it?

I've actually been on and off working on an offshoot of that idea for a while now. It's sort of my rainy day project.

How graphically demanding is XCom?  I'm home visiting my parents for Christmas and I'm using the lap top I bought them last year.  It has an i5 430m, 4gb ram, and an ATI Mobility 5470.  I'm able to, barely, play World of Tanks with everything turned off.  Just wondering if I can play XCom a bit in this laptop.

It functioned pretty well on my 8800gtx Q6600.  I'm not sure how that 5470 compares, though.

Fuck.  Kingdoms of Amular is STILL $60.  I enjoyed the demo enough to pay even $20 for it, but theres no way in hell I'm paying full price.  And I don't if the sale price for XCom has gone low enough for me yet.

Amular is on Amazon for $12, but you'd have to install Origin.  Frankly I don't think it's that great of a game and I wouldn't spend anything on it.  It had potential to be a great one-off game, but they never patched it post-launch.

Blah. Was holding out for a deeper DLC discount, but I think RSC is on to me. Base game/package is 66% off, but DLC is still at 50%.  Went ahead and broke down and picked up the F40PH (in honor of the Donner Pass update which is apparently beautiful) and the Baldwin Centipede.

Also includes the DLC. Max Payne 3 (Steam) is also $15 on Amazon right now. CAG has a pretty good post up, by the Amazon digital games guy, tracking the Amazon sales if anyone is interested.

Hmm, amazon will have the 5 Walking Dead games on sale for $12.50 between dec 27 and 29. Pretty good, but since I don't live in the US, I'm kinda SOL?

Anyway, picked up Amnesia for E3.75 and MTG:Duels2013 for E4.49 (hey, it's cheaper than buying a MTGO booster awesome, for real).

It was on sale during the Black Friday week sale so I would expect it to be on sale again though I have no idea what day that will be.

Yeah, it's on sale right now for the same amount as the BF sale, $39, so I'm just waiting to see if it goes lower really.  It's over a year old so I was expecting it to be cheaper than full price when not on sale.   If the PS3 version wasn't getting hosed so badly on patches and DLC I'd just pick it up at gamestop.

Haven't bought anything yet as I still have over 100 games from previous sales that I still haven't played. X-Com may just change that.

On a side note, I saw the BFG version of Doom 3 go up for sale and given I actually liked the original/XPack but have lost my CDs I nearly bought it via Steam. Then I saw Greenmangaming had it for half the Steam sale price.

You might want to try Green Man Gaming.  Its selling for $40.19 right now, plus I believe you can use a code to get an additional 30% off, which would bring it down to around $28.

While it may be annoying, anyone know if it's definitely possible to make 3 transactions using that code? Buying Skyrim comes to ~$28, but the DLC doesn't get the discount if bought at once. If the DLC is bought separately in their own transaction each then the code seems to be usable, I  just don't know if it flags your account or anything

I think I missed the Bioshock fan decision because it was late at night. This makes me unhappy.

Amazon has Bioshock 1/2 (non-steam) for $5 or Steam keys of Bioshock 1/2 and Spec Ops bundled for $10. Spec Ops was one of my favorite games this year which has otherwise mostly been a sea of mediocre sequels.

Do the Steam versions still have Games for Windows live on them?

I've been holding off pretty well so far, but I did buy Quantum Conundrum and it's DLC for $5.

Looks like Bioshock 2 does at least. IIRC all versions of it probably still use GFWL, because I remember hearing that all versions could buy the DLC (which is only on GFWL).

I was curious about DOTA2 so I clicked the link in the store and apparently I already own it? I know I never bought it so...why is this?

They gave free beta access to a lot of people.  It's still beta I think, this is just forcing your way in.
