It's basically a rated R episode of saturday night live. There are about nine directors doing various 'skits' except you have big name actors in all the roles. Looks funny as hell but also does not look like I need to see it on the big screen.

I can't watch as I'm at work now; is this basically the new Kentucky Fried Movie?

Yes... with a better cast, writing, and production values.

Oh man. I got more laughs out of the trailer than the last couple comedies I've watched combined.

That looks WAY better than SNL, even when SNL was good.

The more I think about this, the more I worry that - like all the "Scary Movie' films - all the good bits were in the trailer.

But this isn't a Wayans movie and each of the "skits" is done by different writers.

The cast doesn't suck, and the trailer wasn't full of lame-ass pop culture references masquerading as jokes.  That on its own is enough for me.

If it's half as good as Kentucky Fried Movie, I'm in.

Tuned in, immediately get to watch cringey Ubisoft talking head offering her deepest sympathies to the families impacted by the Orlando shooting while flanked by a man in a giraffe suit and some sort of "horrifically garish neon costumes through the ages" exhibit or something.  We need to stop this fucking planet right now and sort some shit out. -Kail

Very much the impression I got when watching it, but I didn't want to shit up the love in here.

Currently being raped on Rotten Tomatoes with a 5%.    ACK!

I felt this movie could go either way, but the trailer had enough laughs that I thought it would tend towards 'meh in a weird way' at worst.  Anybody see this and have any opinions?

With all the raunch, bad-taste and pure mean-ness comedy that we already knew to be in the movie, there's no way any 'serious' film critic wasn't going to savage the flick.

That said, the audience reviews are nearly as damning.  35% audience score, most reviews saying there's no cohesion beyond the very thin skit used to tell each of the other 12 skits.

From the reviews I get the sense you should imagine a gross friend taking the 12 youtube clips they thought were funniest from the last decade and strung them together into a 2 hour movie.   Funny individually - maybe - but not so much as a whole.

I've yet to find a reviewer or real person that liked it.

Most reviews seem to focus on why on earth the cast were willing to take part.

I'm certainly not going to spend money to find out.

I love Scary Movie 1 and 2. 3 and 4 are terrible and all the movies that followed like "Epic Movie" and "Date Movie" are presumably also terrible, but Scary Movie 1 and 2 are funny as fuck. Scary Movie 2 in particular is loaded with bits that work and a lot of genuinely good comedy actors.

This is pretty much how I felt, 1 & 2 had me laughing out loud for most of them.  3 had its moments but it was definitely starting to take a turn to stupid pop culture references to be funny, never bothered to watch any of the others after that.

I still can't find anyone who wants to see this or who can tell me about it.  Even the commercials for it just seemed like celebrities being rude or loud with no real discernible plot or reason for the movie existing.  The sketches strung together concept is fine for SNL, but I can't see myself shelling out $10 for the occasional chuckle of SNL in the theatre.
