Battletags, WoW Edition

Battletag support comes in full swing this Tuesday.  You could technically do this already by adding people via Diablo 3 or Starcraft 2, but now you can do it in WoW directly.  Note that with this, you can now queue up and/or enter dungeons/raids via groups created via Battletags, even if on other servers.  Faction is the only barrier.

Doesn't work cross-faction though, does it?   So you'll want to include Alliance or Horde w/ the tag.

You should be able to add friend's battletags regardless of faction, you just won't be able to group with them unless they're on a character that is your faction. I think it works identical to RealID, just without your real name.

Cross grouping is denied entirely.  I can see that you're a Hordie while I'm playing my Ally, can we can chat with each other, but we cannot group for dungeons/raids.

Mine's Rendakor#1605, Horde side. Haven't been on much lately but will be back in a big way for MoP. I mostly play my DK tank, but I've also got a handful of DPSers and such. If you're gonna toss me a request and your tag isn't your F13 name, send me a note with who you are or something.

Alliance.  I have Horde Chars but they don't get played until the between-patch doldrums.  Currently planning on the Hunter and DK being my primary MOP toons.  Haven't liked the changes to the Priest, Mage, Shaman and Rogue enough to promote them to "Main play" status, though all will eventually make it to cap.

I'm at Persedious 1650. I mostly* play on my Alliance Enhance Shaman (he's not 85 yet, but really close.) but should someone need a horde tank to run them through a dungeon, my druid will take you up, with only a minimum of grumbling about what they did to him in the patch. Also, I usually play late at night EST.

I have 6 characters that are 85, 3 alliance 3 horde, and a few others that are in the 70s.  I have leveled every class to at least 72.  The only ones that have any sort of decent gear on them are my alliance warrior and hunter.
