When she crossed over, she was just a ship. But when she came back... she was bullshit!

It's hard to explain this movie, it's sort of Saw (without as much gore) as a mathematical/geometry puzzle with everything happening in a nearly infinite series of identical rooms. It's worth seeing, IMO, as are the sequels (Hypercube replaces the mechanical elements of the first with "4th dimension" technobabble that's never adequately explained and mostly poor CGI gore, Cube Zero is more primitive in aesthetic but had a much higher budget and more gore).
If you are watching the whole trilogy at once, do not watch Cube Zero first.

Like a Klansman in the ghetto.

The first one had a ton of potential until they decided to make it a gorror movie. In concept, it was a great idea. The execution, not so much.

Iirc, the first "Cube" was made for about US$1m. It's imagination made up for its other shortcomings for me. Haven't seen the other "Cube" films, but did like "Cypher" by the same director.

"Cube" was the best of the lot, I thought. The puzzle actually made sense and I found the whole thing pretty engaging. "Hypercube" made less sense and had a lot of jarring bad CGI. "Cube Zero" was fun, but definitely best watched after "Cube".

Gleaming the Cube was my favorite of the franchise.

Cube was better than The Cabin in the Woods.
