Variety reporting Warner wants The Affleck to direct Justice League

While I have enjoyed Affleck in many movies and thought he's done quite well directing.... what.

I... what? While I like Affleck and all, just because The Town was a success is not a reason to hand him a big ass commitment like Justice League. Of course, I'm not sure I'd trust it with Zack Snyder and there just isn't anyone else available. I could see Affleck playing a good Superman or Hal Jordan Green Lantern, only those two have already been cast/played by somebody else. Flash?
