From what the shitty trailer showed, this movie is as though all the previous movies were training programs inserted into alice's mind re:none of it ever happened(all a dream!) to somehow train her to be a super soldier.

Well, sort of. I think she is going to be a clone of the same character? I wonder if this is a first: actor who played a character that got killed plays a different character that gets killed (making an assumption here) in the same franchise.
Jack Mccall/Francis Wolcott in Deadwood comes to mind. Not a movie franchise though. |

Don't know if an actor has been written back into a movie they died in as a different character, but I believe that Gary Busey was signed on to reprise his role in "Under Siege 2" until it was realised he died in the first one.
He had to be paid out his full fee before he agreed to revoke the contract he signed. Or so the rumour goes.

Trailer-wise this is the best Resident Evil I've seen. That guy on the screen is Wesker I am guessing. I'm curious about MR and I hope she gets to live if only so she can stop being the female Sean Bean.
