Sorry to hear about the girl (the 4k end result really wasn't that bad for "lawyers wanting to be douchey"). The call to get the dog strikes me as shitty, but only due to the short timeframe. "Could you take him back or I'll give him to a good home" is fine, but "So.. drop everything and get the fuck up here to take this dog" just seems very me-centric. Good that you have that crazy dog back though.
And most importantly: hell yes to learning to be a bit more mellow. It's really important in life to be able to just walk the fuck away from situations, even if you feel you're in the right.

While I don't have a huge story a la house etc., I went through something similar two years ago (which coincided with a disappearance from f13 -- yes, she was that much of a bitch, Phildo) and lost a dog and two cats. Not a day goes by that I don't miss them, even though I don't even think of she who will not be named. Hope it's going well, Dante, Milton and Link.  |
