Just noting that I bought Bard's Tale for the Ipad only because it now comes bundled with the original Bard's Tale Trilogy.

Ahh nothing like playing a game written in 1985 on a piece of technology from 2012.

So it is it any good? I'd get it if it works on my iphone.  - I'm talking about the original trilogy.

That is if I don't need grid paper and pencil to play! Is there an auto-mapper??

There's a nice button on screen that gives you a link to a website with maps + the manual and other guide stuff. Works rather well.
The save game process is a brutal as it was in 1985, you can only save in the adventurer's guild.

Can you still train bow enough so that you can shoot things that are off screen and basically auto-win?

That must be the new Bard's Tale which I haven't even touched. Still grinding my way to Arch mage in BT 1.

MIBL on the berserkers.  Job done.  Pack a fire horn and a frost horn.  Yell if you want the co-ordinates.
