I'm so sick of the "stick zombies in some other novel/time period for awesome!" genre. If you want to put zombies in historical periods, at least have the decency to create your own characters.

Pride and Prejudice WITH ZOMBIES, Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, there's a whole genre devoted to mashups of classics with undead. It was kind of a cute joke when P&P came out but it's not funny any longer.

1. Seth Grahame-Smith has only written two of these. While a genre has sprung up, he's the guy that does it right and did it first. This isn't Sense & Sensibility & Sea Monsters.

2. The book was fucking superb and at no moment was meant to be funny.

3. You clearly haven't read it.

Pride and Prejudice and Zombies was fucking horrible.  HORRIBLE.  I will read anything with zombies in it, and anything historical.  That book was unredeemable shit.

I was interested in this movie until finding out that the book was written by the same guy.  Pass.

You call it an accident. I call it justice.

Burton's only producing.
