I think I mentioned this game around the summer of last year when it was a webgame and how awesome it is.  Since then, they released an iPad version over the holidays, and it's tearing up the charts.  Simply put; it refines the Tower Defense gameplay just enough to keep it fresh, along with well executed and drawn graphics, sound, and fluff.

I still play this on occasion via ArmorGames when I'm bored at work.  For you fancy iPad owners though, I highly recommend this.  It's a fucking steal for the price they're charging.  The sequel should be arriving pretty soon.

Probably the best game I have picked up for the iPad even though it is a simple tower defense game.  I was addicted to this game for a couple of weeks.  I usually destroy tower defense games, but this one will have you scratching your head on a couple of the challenge mode levels.  I saw last night on a Canadian TV game review show (Reviews on the Run) it was picked as the iOS game of the year.

Lack of Endless Mode is a real turn off.

New update was released today for iOS (Flash/web-based should be updated within the next 24-72 hours) that adds a new level and new Hero-class units that can level up and be carried from town to town for extra fun.

Since I lack an iPad, I hope to playing the Flash-based update soon, but for hipsters out there, enjoy the fun now.

Post-edit: Also for you hipsters, the game's on-sale for .99 cents.

He hasn't done it yet.  Though this may be the last batch.  A good thing for the Ironhide gang to get in before they shut it down.
