Just found this thread - don't know why it didn't pop up for me before. Katawa Shoujo! Didn't expect to see the 4chan game here.

I'm not sure whether the game is crazy or rk47 is, but I'm enjoying it. Keep it going!

I highly suspect that if you actually do start to get anywhere with one of the disabled that you will likely die because of your heart condition.

That only happens if you completely ignore all the girls. You get a joke route with Kenji that ends in you dying and the text basically saying 'hey idiot, this is a dating sim.' I think rk47's narration on that would be pretty entertaining though.

START WITH A FRAGMENT OF THE ENEMY. A DROP OF BLOOD. A CRYSTALLIZED THOUGHT. ONE OF THEIR HOPES. ALL OF THESE THINGS TELL THE WAY IT CAN DIE.

I dunno, I expected this game to be a lot more... terrible than it is. In every definition of the word.

That it's largely inoffensive, charming, and written with a hint of narrative charge is profoundly bizzare.

I know, it's like getting this newspaper wrapped box with a sticker and hand card written by 5 year old - 'heya, TURD INSIDE! ENJOY!'
you laughed, knowing yeah, maybe it's shit.it's for lulz. you wanted to laugh. you ready your nasal senses for the shittiest smell as you unwrap the bundle of joy. slowly...the newspaper wrap tore away...revealing...chocolates. you take a whiff. nothing. it's chocolate. with some crunchy flakes on top...you doubt it's really chocolate. or its taste. you take a lick ...sweet, slighty bitter. it starts to melt on your finger as you gently squeeze it..creating slight cracks on its surface. ..finally, there's no more doubt and you drop the whole thing into your mouth. sweet...so sweet....i want it to last....longer.

 ACK!

I was initially surprised that the subject was handled as maturely as it was.  Not my type of game by any stretch, but it was not too bad.

When something is labeled 4chan, it does not mean it's going to turn into a racist bukakke-laden romp through hell.

It just has the POTENTIAL to be that.

Japan-based male romantic fantasy choose-your-own-adventure is not a genre known for either charactarization or sensitivity. Nor do teams of amateurs from the internet tend to produce professional-quality product. Nor, indeed, does "it's a dating sim where you choose to flirt with, persue, and ultimately fuck a blind girl, a deaf girl, a girl with no arms, a girl with no legs, or a girl with extreme scarring on half of her body" sound like a project that could be described -- in anything but jest -- as "charming" or "tasteful".

It's also labled 4chan...

...and it punches Sturgeon's Law in the face.

I'm loudly rooting for Team Lilly to compensate. I will laugh heartily if he ends up with Hanako in spite of himself though.
