2nd one got a little weak in parts but, yeah, was pretty good over-all. (Too much Frank!) If this is at least as good I'll be happy.

Time travel does smell like a flimsy excuse to get away with minimizing Tommy Lee Jones's screen time.

Assuming that one actor's cash-flow/charge-rate per movie increases with every successful picture produced, and compounded by how well those pictures do in the box office, by now he has to be charging like 6 figures for 5 minutes of screen time, and 500 to 1,000 bucks for every spoken word. If I was producing, I'd be looking to minimize his time as well.

I think Josh Brolin looked pretty good as a young K.

Wonder how much Biggy Willie Style is consuming for this film...

I'm confused. Maybe I just forgot all of MiB 2 (actually I think I have) but didn't K retire at the end of the first one?
Otherwise, it looks like it could be fun.

Came back in the 2nd. It was....pretty bad. Wife loved it though, since, you know, Will Smith. Getting Jiggy With It. And Whatnot.

Trailer seemed to lack energy or enthusiasm. It's weird to see Tommy Lee looking exactly like he did from the last film. How much make-up is there?
Josh Brolin as K is inspired though.

I can't believe they got Rip Torn to play Zed again. I thought he was dead, or OD'd on something?

The first one, Will Smith played Will Smith's Big Budget Blockbuster Character. It's too bad the second film's J character couldn't be in the first film. Tommy Lee Jones is awesome as himself in the documentary Harvard Beats Yale 29-29. Yah, he played football for Harvard and was Al Gore's roommate, he also put on his Harvard alum persona which is a riot as he is most famous for his homey Texan schtick.

Saw this film.
Spectacularly ordinary. Only two things to watch it for are:
- Brolin's impersonation of Jones; and - A surprising bit of pathos at the end, although it kind of screws up the J & K relationship.
I guess the Andy Warhol bit is not too bad either, but that's about it as far as this film goes.
