Trailer here.

Written by Joss Whedon and directed by Drew Goddard (worked with Whedon on Angel and also wrote Cloverfield).  Described as a Sci-Fi Horror movie for reasons that become apparent part-way into the trailer, which intentionally starts off looking a very cliche horror movie.

That looks...great.  Color me enthused.

Did Joss Whedon just take kids from a Friday the 13th movie and put them in the Dollhouse?  why so serious?

Looks good though.

Also apparently that it's one of those films that you must not discuss with people who haven't seen it yet.

Saw it.

It's a horror movie that I want to talk about, which doesn't happen much.

Seriously, this won't be much worse on video so you don't have to see it now... but don't spoil yourself before you've seen it.

The ending was awesome. Though I expected  instead of the
The last third of this movie is one of the craziest I've seen in awhile. I loved every second of it.

Honestly, do NOT spoil this if you plan on seeing it. Don't even watch the trailers. This is a movie I really want to rewatch to try and pick up on more things now that I know how it all goes down.

Just saw this, and really enjoyed it.  Especially glad how it ended.  Fun premise overall.

I think the Japanese had an entirely different ruleset from the Americans.   Or at least, that was sort of implied.

Too hilarious almost.  It was funny but not funny enough to be a comedy and scary but not scary enough to be a horror movie.

So, pretty much Evil Dead 2.  Which is why I loved it.  It was genre bending in a wonderful way.

Tuned in, immediately get to watch cringey Ubisoft talking head offering her deepest sympathies to the families impacted by the Orlando shooting while flanked by a man in a giraffe suit and some sort of "horrifically garish neon costumes through the ages" exhibit or something.  We need to stop this fucking planet right now and sort some shit out. -Kail

Whedon has stated torture porn is one of the top things he's hated about whats become of horror.
