Congratulations to Llyse and Ingmar who tied in Bleat Bowl I!  Now, you too, can participate in the breathtaking action that led to a 0-0 draw in last season's championship match!  Horns & Hooves *Season 2* sign-ups have begun, and any interested f13 Bloodbowler need only to reply to this thread and express their interest to be entered.  Teams from H&H *Season 1* will be allowed to carry over into this season, and new teams will enter the league with a newly created team that has at least 11 players.  I will have to wait until I know how many will be playing before announcing specifics about how many matches will be played or how they will be arranged.

Horns & Hooves is a simple concept: every team is Chaos and is made up entirely of beastmen.  There are some rules regarding skill progression for those beastmen, which are detailed in the spoilered "League Rules" section below, but, in general, the rules that are in place exist only to accentuate the unique versatility of beastmen.  You have a lot of leeway in skill selection, but there are still some standards that beastmen must meet when levelling up or a team could be invalidated.

Before last season the H&H participants had a discussion over whether or not minotaurs would be allowed.  A vote was held and I decided against allowing minotaurs.  In order to gauge the opinion of those playing in the second season I am asking for another vote on minotaurs, and if you have an opinion on the subject you should post it along with your sign-up reply.  I do, however, reserve the right to make whatever decision I feel is ultimately best for the league.  All other rule change suggestions are also welcome.

Also, I am in. My team is Occupy Goatville. And I vote against minotaurs.

Perfectly fine.  I should edit that part of the original post to be a little more clear.

Triptkyon will be back. I actually vote FOR minotaurs, but that's because beastmen are fucking boring and frustrating until you get skills.

I would like to join, if there's room.  If not, no biggie.

There is always room.  I don't have any limit on the number of teams; whatever we end up with I'll make it work.

Skill advancements for teams from last season are pretty minimal, really.  Everything counts, of course, but there aren't any absurdly well developed beastmen akin to those in the Ex-Presidents.  I wager the wizards and extra rerolls you'll get from inducements could actually do a lot of good.

So Star Players would be a no-go?

There isn't any rule against star players, it's just never really come up before.  I didn't include them in that assessment because even the highest TV team in the league right now is only sitting at 1390 while most are around 1200.  It's possible for a new team to have enough inducements to hire a star player if they were to play Proudft's team right now, I guess.  Of course, he also has 15 beastmen for some inexplicable reason!

My vote would be no for minos.

Created my team, The Cosmonauts. Looking forward to this.

I didn't expect for the league to actually expand.  This is a very pleasant surprise.  I welcome all of the new SPP fodder entering the league.

Guess I may get in on this as well this time.  I don't have a team created yet though.

Ok, created a new team.  Do I still apply to the Horns & Hooves league, or is there a special league for season 2?  Also, when creating a new team, do I have to apply with a full 1000 TV?

I haven't decided whether or not it will be the same league as we used last time.  If we get the right number of people to run a league with proper divisions I may end up doing that.  We won't start for another four days or so.

As for the team you create, it doesn't have to be exactly TV1000.  Any new Chaos team with 11 players and only beastmen will do.  I would say to wait until the minotaur voting is finished but judging by the results so far the impending verdict seems to be clearly anti-minotaur and so it probably won't matter.

Sign me up for some hot hoof on hoof action as well, will make a team soon. Yes to Mino's for me - as long as mine rolls block on it's first skill otherwise it's a no!

I'm interested in joining the league.  I'll start a new team for this today and sign up for the league.  Will be something along the line of Baa Ram U!.

And no to Mino's.

Question on the league.  As there will be more inducements this round with new teams playing slightly higher TV teams are there more specific rules for if you can take star players?

Put me down for no Minos, and my team name is "My Little Goatmen", with aptly named MLP goatmen shamelessly ripped from the show  DRILLING AND MANLINESS why so serious?

I don't see any reason to have rules against star players.  Hamstringing new teams like that isn't conducive to a league's health, nor does it engender more "fun."  As long as you only have beastmen on your roster that's enough for me.

That makes 15.  One more and H&H2 could have a more traditional tournament league with two divisions of eight teams.

Sure did.  That makes a cool 16 and I can make a new, more structured, league for season 2.  I expect to do that Monday as I'm a tad busy today.

Also, it looks like minotaurs aren't as well liked as I suspected.
