New trailer - and showing at SXSW. One of the more intriguing films listed in this year’s just-announced South By Southwest Film Festival lineup is Zero Charisma. Why? Well, partly because it’s an indie-comedy about role-playing games (and it’s not every day you get to see one of those). And partly because it’s directed by Andrew Matthews and Katie Graham, who worked as, respectively, the director of photography and the editor on the excellent 2009 Troll 2 documentary Best Worst Movie. |

It just premiered at SXSW to rave reviews. - "gets the beauty and tragedy of being a nerd in a way only FREAKS & GEEKS ever did" - "one of the best movies about geek culture ever made. One of the best films I've seen in 20 years of #sxsw." - "so much fun! The whole audience seemed to love it. Nerd humor that's hilarious and approachable." Now it just has to get sold, and have a distributor. Sorry if I've annoyed anyone by posting about a film that doesn't even have that yet... but I know (virtually) the people who made it, and they're awesome. I thought it would go down well with F13. |

Finally got to see this movie. Was extremely well done, but very depressing at the same time. I almost wanted to put all my games up for sale after watching... almost!  |

Found this on Amazon Prime Instant Video. I just loved it. So grim. I liked the ending. Something more grand or positive would have been unrealistic.
As to the thread title, this is not a comedy.
