Now that eve has settled down into relatively stable zones, Mittani has launched his latest initiative - full reimbursement for any PvP activity.  That's right, if you fight and lose - you get paid.  FCs are not required, ship types are not required, GoonWaffe is launching jihad across the eve universe.

Read it yourself the text from our glorious leader:

We won.

We have a frightening amount of isk.

We have no strategic ops or grand campaigns for a bit.

Let's do something unheard of.

Effective immediately, we are introducing a "Peacetime Reimbursement" program. Under this system, you do not need to be on an 'official op' flying a particular fitting under a sanctioned fc to get reimbursed. Solo PvP is reimbursed. Small group PvP, reimbursed. As long as you're murdering something, the alliance will fund you. No fit restrictions, besides 'don't be obviously retarded'. See the wiki for details.

All Interceptors, Recons, Vagabonds, and Dramiels are now reimbursed at 100% of hull cost. That's right, Dramiels. Cynabals spiked in price, we'll reimb them like they were Vagas. Battleships give you a flat 60m per loss, meaning a savvy Dominix or Typhoon jock can pocket a premium for PvP. Flying a T3 ship? You get a 150m subsidy. Command ships are 100m.

Cruisers for newbies? You get 5m per cruiser loss, so you can make money learning how to fight in your Stabber.

We're going to be revising this program upward as we see what impact it has on our wallet. Should we find ourselves in a strategic war, Peacetime Reimbursement will end as we shift back to funding only things necessary for our survival as an alliance.

Peace is a dangerous time of weakness and stagnation. In most alliances, peacetime means that the leadership pockets vast sums of moon goo and the membership gets bored and quits. Not Goonswarm. Goonswarm pays you to fly a fucking Dramiel and go ruin some poor fuck's day, because we don't want you to get soft and weak.

Go kill. Practice your small-gang pvp skills; this is a great time for aspiring FCs to step up, because the alliance is footing the bill for everyone's losses. This policy has been my dream since from the moment I became CEO, and it is finally possible. Enjoy it.

This is why GoonWaffe rules.

I think I'll get few harbingers and/or hurricanes fitted and learn how to pvp 1vs1.

1vs1 pvp in Eve is easy.  You find a good 1v1 target, then after you have them webbed and warp scrammed you have all your corp mates warp to you and blow him up.  Then you get ready to fight all of his buddies he had waiting around too.  awesome, for real

That pretty much described my time as a pirate. Except there were never any Hellcats on so I had to wait until someone was half dead from NPC rats.

Reimbursable 1551 sensor strength Hurricanes.

Just putting it out there.

If you excuse me...I'll be in my bunk. On the EC- Gate.

(Hmm, what about a Command Ship for that sort of thing too?)

Also helps take ISK out of the system, or stimulates the economy, contributing to overall game health, as an aside?

He asked me very politely in local to pod him.  I only regret not tackling him for a minute while a friend was already in warp to the gate when I thought the fight would last longer.

Command ship would work just as well for alpha and sensor strength, but if you use it for bonuses the scrubs without targeting rigs (sorry, I mean your respected fleet buddies) are going to benefit more than you.

For the extreme case  in EC-, my cap alt has an rsb frigate and a jump clone stored in station. Because 2500 sensor strength hurricanes are just about the most awesome thing ever.

Reimbursable interceptors and assault frigates is pretty much all I wanted. Once I'm done exploring and bookmarking Deklein it's time to visit this mystical EC- gate. The knowledge you won't be 100% out of pocket on random PvP is a powerful motivator.

btw. 270km+ bookmarks off meaningful objects (stations, gates, bridges), an instant undock if there's a station and a couple of safes or POS is the full set for any system right?

Make sure your bookmarks on the station and gates are not in-line with other celestials, or you'll get pulled into drag bubbles anyway.

I've been blown up at EC- quite a few times and it's invariably been my fault. The friendly camp sits on the gate semi-bored hoping for some poor fool to look in. We have a moment of excitement when we realise there's new reds coming. I then move to 15 m off the gate hoping to be randomly on top of someone jumping in. Then a big wave of reds lands on us, all the sensible people who are on the gate at 0km go through into Torrinos leaving me with 60 members of Brick Squad.

Defensive gate camping is good fun although a bit slow. It's also a very useful service to the coalition imo. Just make sure to pack a few SEBOs as most things are dead before you shoot if you don't.

I need to have some "explosive learning experiences" practicing in an interceptor.

Also strong motivation to finally train minmatar cruiser 5. Reimbursable Vagabonds, Scimitars and Rapier / Huginn are just so nice.

The only time I died in EC- lately was because I ignored my own advice as FC and burned towards the obvious bait while telling my gang to run away.  Oops.

I'm not saying that IT and their pets were bad but I just noticed (K/D lawl) that I died once in over two months against them (got convoed for diplomatic stuff and went afk on a gate welp) and killed almost 750 hostiles on my main alone.  This might make it seem that I am a safe place for the alliance to place its machariel investments for the new order of universal reimbursement but I have no idea whatsoever how to fly a vaga, nor any of the successor ships like the mach or cynabal, and finding out is giong to be costly.  Just not for me  Oh ho ho ho. Reallllly?
