I'm an apathetic, hedonistic, utilitarian, nihilistic existentialist.

I would have gone a different route.

1. Make a Hellgate game with a great multiplayer concept and campaign but with limited group sizes and LAN, Internet play.

Would have made the basic tech available but would have been much less complex that to just start with a MMO.

2. Sell it

3. Use the revenue to make Hellgate Pt2. as MMO

4: ??

5. Profit.

1. Suspend/scrap Hellgate

2. Release Mythos using the Guildwars model.

3. Profit!

Yea, the loss of Mythos is the real tragedy in all this.
