This is about the movie, not the UK mini-series that covered the same topic.

Russell Crowe is a newspaper reporter who starts to connect the dots between the murder of small time addict and the apparent suicide of Congressman Ben Affleck's aide. Oh, and he's friends with Affleck as well as connected to Affleck's wife, Robin Wright-Penn, and it all circles around the influence of military contractors.

A solid thriller (even if I thought the gunman resembled a psycho Ray Romano a bit too much) that generally keeps its pace and twists up. Plus it was fun seeing Jason Bateman play slimy so well.

Saw this at the local $3.00 theater almost a year ago and really enjoyed it. The story went places I didn't think it was going to go.
