I've got a bumper crop of blackberries in my backyard and have been thinking about doing some sort of booze infusion with them. The safe choice would be vodka since it's mostly flavorless, but I think it'd be more fun to pair them with something that has a complementary flavor. Just not sure what. Suggestions?
I believe my mother used to infuse them in to Brandy. Really yummy over ice cream.

I somehow got into hard liquor lately, despite thinking I hated the stuff. Got a bottle of Maker's Mark and Ron Zacapa Centenario 23. I like them both, especially the latter. I'd like to try some Hennessy VSOP but I fear the local liquor store will think I'm a drunk buying all this shit.
