Spy.

Tuned in, immediately get to watch cringey Ubisoft talking head offering her deepest sympathies to the families impacted by the Orlando shooting while flanked by a man in a giraffe suit and some sort of "horrifically garish neon costumes through the ages" exhibit or something.  We need to stop this fucking planet right now and sort some shit out. -Kail

I was just in my first real fight vs IT + their Blade pets. Wow. Never have I seen such a complete near-annihilation of enemy ships or a fleet. I think less than 10% of their ships got out, and numbers were 120 to 120 - both sides in two separate fleets (us and WI. vs IT+Blade).

They start their attack by somehow managing to jump their Titan in by itself, instead of their fleet. Considering the menu CHANGED last week and is now harder to do this by accident, this takes a new level of incompetence. However, the Titan pilot was good enough to Cntrl-Q before our fleet could agress him.

They then jump into the system as we warped to the iHub. Right into our bomber squadron.

They then warp to 0 at a planet in some sort of a panic. Our dictors land before they can escape and catch some of their late aligners. Then they warp back to the gate. Where our other dictor is waiting. Caught in the bubble, we land right on top of them 10km from the gate.

Now even more in a panic, their FC decides to primary me- in a Vulture Command ship and probably having the best tank in the entire solar system. Our logi's save me JUST before I get into armour.

And they started to die. Drakefleet would just shoot the primary and it would be dead before I could lock it. They had a mixture of Medium range and short range battleships, half armour tanked and half tanked, and a half armour and half shield tank battlecruisers. They just melted 5 to 10 kilometres from the gate.

Several hostile ships DID reach the gate and jumped OUT...and then came back IN in a trickle. A lot of their armour tanking Battleships warped out from the bubbles...and warped back in to the bubble just as we finished killing the last of the shield tanking ship's escape pods.

We lost about 6 ships- couple of Battlecruisers and cruisers (the lone scorpion and our rifters survived). They lost about 100 out of 120. We finished up by disabling their jump bridges and finishing the iHub.

Tomorrow, the final battle for the entrance to Fountain, and the survival of the Pets of IT who live there, begins. IT has already deployed over 250+ super capital and capital ships 3 regions away to Catch - it remains to be seen if they will abandon their nascent invasion and come back to save their pets, or not. Half the enemy fleet WAS made up of IT Battlecruisers. Right now, the pets definably need more help.

Well if you want easy fleet kills, now is the time to come back. The Fountain pets are showing up in fleets and dieing at a ratio of 25 to 1, and SirMolle's 250+ supercap fleet is in Catch tied down vs TEST and StAAAinwagon.

Note that Goonfleet.com forums have not improved much, so YMMV. However, discussing EveNews24 is always amusing - they add something to talk about.

I'm might come back after the learning skill refund. I hadn't heard that BS POS shoots were a thing of the past (main reason why I left).

I can't believe fukkin Drakes are worthwhile now, I've really gotta come back.

Bat Country is really rocking.  We're well respected thanks to Endie and our monthly stats.  Eve is always fun if you're winning and we are winning.  Deklein is as secure a region, as a region can be in 0.0 and we have just conquered Cloud Ring from Evoke, an alliance of competent PvPers.  We now are about to set up the Eye of Terror - a jump bridge system that will allow us to attack Fountain at will with a minimum of effort.

Our FCs have devised a new fleet doctrine and many goons will be able to use their learning skills to re-equip and kick even more butt.  This era is exiting and there is an energy in the goons that is infectious.  We have lots of great FCs, in fact Comstr is an up and coming FC star and Mr Vee who is rated by Endie as the best FC he's ever flown under, is leading ops all the time.

Even when we come up against PL, I expect to do well and although they usually get the better of us, I'm hoping that will change during the next year with our new fleet doctrine and our ever increasing capital fleet.

If anyone is thinking of resubbing and fly with Bat Country there isn't a better time than now.

Hate to tell you but the chances of me getting into Goons again are slimmer than Victoria Bechams chances of a number one single.  Ohhhhh, I see.

And to be honest I really would not want to, so I probably would not be able to get in on this great massacring anyway. Pity. Murdering the IT crowd is always eve on Easy mode and great fun.

What I just posted in the recruitment thread is probably relevant:

Quote
We've invaded Fountain in order to draw our enemies, IT Alliance (née Kenzoku, née Band of Brothers) off from saving their southern allies, Initiative.  We are gutting their pets, and have already broken their logistics network in a key hub, forcing each of their fleets to jump through unsafe space for another half hour each way to reach us.  We have engaged in fights with their fleets on four occasions and utterly destroyed them each time.  If you like PvP then this is a fun couple of weeks to be in on.

Do you like 0.0 PvP? As a corporation, in the last week we have killed over 300 ships, while losing only 16 (our own killboard still has to catch up with the latest 60 kills as of this post).  We're in third place in the alliance for kills this month, despite being a fraction of the size of most other corporations, and only the two biggest corporations in the alilance are ahead of us.  We have 10% of the alliance's all-time top 30 killers, and I hope to add another by this month.  Last month, the top two killers were both in Bat Country.

When we were fighting to keep delve (before the hilarious "oh god bills, bills! get them off get them off!"), at least it felt like IT was semi-competent. Fountain residents, however, are literally awful. Even though I've only been in one large fight with them, that one fight netted me more than 60 kills in a single fight, and I was just sitting there for literally 10 minutes, looking at the overview and wondering why the FUCK they weren't disengaging since we were popping their abaddons and scorpions at the rate of 3-4 a minute before we went for their small ships.

I've never seen such a badly organized/lead enemy fleet (well, except for what I would've managed if I tried to FC I suppose), and just to put the icing on the cake they even managed to go from "I'll buy GTCs and fight them to the death!" to "oh god they have a spy, they're not playing fair. Fuck this, I'm out, let's blueball them!" etc, in under 10 minutes. Ten.

I'm almost literally furious the op started before I got home last night. Turkeyshoots are fun.

Cyno's lit, bridge is up, but one pilot won't be jumping home.

Highlight was hearing one prominent member of the enemy force go "Fuck this game, I'll go play World of Tanks instead."

Quote from: TS recording
Oh man, its so stressful trying to get people together.
Then you know I feel after six months trying
.....
Goons, how do you think they got to be so many?
It was like a goon party in Germany, it was a barbecue, they looked as if they were having fun.
If you were doing so well, you'd be having fun.
Who paid for said party?
.....
Guys, guys, look at the onyx from above, it looks like somebody flipping the bird.
.....
Shut up SHUT UP  please, whoever the fucking spy is, you should be shot on sight and banned from game.
Since they can't play fucking fair, there's no point trying to take on goonfleet if they have a spy in here.
They have ONE person in this TS right now. I'm standing down.
Do we have a spy in there?
No, because we don't need a fucking spy to win a game, that's ridiculous.

 Head scratch

It does make you wonder how many alliances there are hidden inside larger groups who have no idea how to play EVE, or understand any of the basic history and politics of the game.
