While we are shutting down the InstantAction.com website and Instant Jam game, Torquepowered.com will continue to operate while InstantAction explores opportunities with potential buyers for Torque. We thank all of our past and current customers for their support.

Really sad to see it go. I really love this engine.
Both names sound familiar. What were they involved in?
Indie games, mostly.
Torque is a retooling of the engine used in Tribes 2, if I recall correctly. Garage Games was the product of an exodus from Dynamix right after the release of T2, and brought the engine with them or something. It had a special license for low budget companies and was therefore a fairly popular engine for low budget / no budget game development.
InstantAction I'm not sure about. I think it was kind of like a cheap digital destribution system for indie titles.
Apparently, GG has a new owner and isn't going away. TorqueX is being discontinued, but other then that everything else is staying relatively the same (supposedly)
