http://exult.sourceforge.net/index.php

A new release candidate for a replacement engine supporting the last great games to come from the shit smeared walls of Lord British's sanatorium.

Requires Ultima VII and/or Serpent Isle, haven't tried this release out much yet, but it's the only good way to run one of the single most important computer games to ever come out.  Apparently there's some new scalers / filtering, support for even higher resolutions, and some functionality that allows easy application of patches and mods aside from around six years worth of bugfixes from the last neatly packaged release.  I would heartily recommend anyone who has not played Ultima VII to buy, borrow, or steal the complete game; install Exult, and go fucking nuts seeing a game from 1992 with a physics engine, vehicles, fast travel, NPC's with daily schedules, and an EVIL TALKING SWORD.

Nice, I was wondering how long it was going to take for a new release or if the project was truly dead. If I can pull myself away from Minecraft, I might have to run through Black Gate again ...
