Extending steam store to the PS3 is fairly pointless since the manufacturer has their own equivalent. However making it so that a steam game can be easily ported to or from the consoles is an interesting tactical move.

One that doesn't really seem like a technological possibility.

If you say so... an Xbox just looks like a low-end PC to me, and there's more than enough Xbox/PS3 games that I'm sure people have worked out models that allow the easiest porting.

That said I was thinking more in terms of using the same API for access to steam services.

Speaking of PB - he's weaseled his way onto the Bombcast tonight. Harrumph.

But that Captain's salami tray was tight, yo. You plump for the roast pork loin, dogg?

that's his thing -- social animal

in all fairness, if that's what EA pays him for now, then that makes sense, in EA-land, being a con-cling-on.

Should have asked about The Agency: still due out "soon"?

Don't think they've said anything about the release date.  Looks like they showed off some pvp stuff and that's about it (you can see a some videos up on gametrailers).

I'm not looking forward to The Agency much, but find it amusing that SOE is still listing it as a title to get excited about despite the length of time since it was first announced (and due out) in 2007.

Yeah, but when it comes down to it, that's pretty typically in an MMO timeframe.

I will do a good writeup at some point soon, been busy.

On the show floor The Agency was only in video form. If it never came out I wouldn't be surprised.

So I assume no Planetside 2 in the SOE both.   Ohhhhh, I see.
