Got this in my e-mail today (guessing some others did as well?) -

I guess it's mostly a pretty standard e-mail asking for people to re-sub.  But if the line about a senior GM reading any replies is true, I'm tempted to take the time to write up a decent reply detailing some major current (and past) issues.  Might even see if I could get my caps moved to safer station somewhere if I ever do decide to come back.  awesome, for real Any suggestions on good topics to touch on?

Obviously it's also possible it will never be looked at, but I think I'm going to end up being home today anyways so it would be something to do.

Heh, not a bad idea.  Just say I'll resub every account and I own and tell everyone I know to resub if they can promise me that the game has no lag even if it's 2,000 people on grid in a fight.  Bet I wouldn't get any response.

I resubbed my main, but didn't get such an email for my alt. Guess I should have waited.

I hope you can send a multi-page analysis of where Dominion stuffed it all up, and why Tyrannis is not very interesting by itself.

How would someone who didn't even play much during Dominion be able to offer up decent analysis on Tyrannis?  Resub first, then send them a litany of complaints when you unsub again in two months.

It does not say Senior GM, it says Senior member of our customer service team.

Honestly, it would be a relatively long email, and even if the "senior CS member" reads it, there's no guarantee that he/she will be able to communicate it up the ladder so it gets to the devs.

BTW, the General Discussion board was full of blue CS rep and forum mod responses to various threads and questions today.  A lot of them were "we're sorry you feel that way" or "your input is valued" type posts.  I'm guessing it must be some sort of initiative to manage the playerbase opinion about the game.

I got this e-mail at the end of last month and thought, gee, where to start?

But I did a long survey a number of months prior where I could systematically give them grief with checkboxes, polls and other fields to fill. I believe there was a PLEX you could win, but didn't expect that to happen after such a litany of nerdrage.

Didn't get a mail on either of my unsubbed accounts, they must have given up on me Heartbreak

"Fix lag back to pre-Dominion levels and I'll consider it" would work.

Did send a reply, nothing huge.  Just a few paragraphs about lag in large fleet battles and other long running issues.  Did get a reply today but it's just -

Hello, GM Yuggoth here.

We would be more than happy to give you some gametime to check out Tyrannis and Planetary Interaction. What account would you like me to activate for you?

If I had sent a response with mentions of lag in large fleet battles etc, and I got what I can only judge to be a canned response, chances are I would've responded with "did you guys even look at what I wrote? Nothing in planetary interaction has any bearing on lag, and nothing I've read indicates that anything at all has been done with lag since I unsubbed."

I bet you that if you reply "No thanks, I can read forums to figure out what Tyrannis and PI are all about." they'll reactivate all your accounts for 5 days anyway, and send you emails saying so.

Then you can reply back saying "Thanks. I was meaning to find a way to sell my accounts on eBay."

Which would mean they'd still win, because someone would end up paying for those subscriptions. Oh ho ho ho. Reallllly?

6048 by 1080?  Is that two startlingly wide screens dual-headed?

Also did you get your carrier moved out by CCP via petition?

Three widescreens running in Eyefinity.

I moved my carrier and dread to 319 before I unsubbed, I got most of my major assets moved out.  I thought 319 might be busy and difficult to jump out of but after logging in last night it seems I was wrong from the lack of people in local before I cloned jumped out.

You'd think if they were using it AGAIN they could get around to cleaning up the fucking compression artifacts.

I blame this forum for making me curious enough to try this game (the other half being the steam sales).

I must say the new 2560x1440 monitor came at the right time.... Eve just has so many different menus it wants to pop up. And that "welcome" screen is just wrong. A help screen should be something I summon with a keypress, not something that slides down and blocks the page while I'm getting shot at. The free skillbooks and ships from the tutorials are nice though.

"Kireiina" in game in case that helps minimize the "and who the fuck are you?" my first comment earnt :)

I'd never want to spoil the superb, varied and story driven PvE experience that Eve.....

.... sorry, wrong game. Not stressed. Main thing I wanted was a channel to ask questions and listen to chat while exploring.
