I'd say he had a pretty full life.

Frazetta breathed life into Conan, forever after when I read Howard, I see Frank's work in motion.
RIP one of the greatest artists of the 20th century. While people will yap on about quacks like Pollack and Warhol, guys like Frazetta are the real deal.

My favorite fantasy painting of all time (I also have the lead mini and want to get the axe and helm at some point): I also liked when he did his more art nouveau stuff: Another couple of my favorites:

My favorite fantasy painting of all time
Death Dealer is one of my favourites too. It inspired me to buy a Molly Hatchet album when I was younger.

I watched Fire and Ice in his honor last night. Pretty sure one of the main characters is inspired by Death Dealer.

I watched Fire and Ice in his honor last night. Pretty sure one of the main characters is inspired by Death Dealer. In the early 1980s, Frazetta worked with producer Ralph Bakshi on the feature Fire and Ice, released in 1983. The realism of the animation and design replicated Frazetta's artwork.[9] Bakshi and Frazetta were heavily involved in the production of the live-action sequences used for the film's rotoscoped animation, from casting sessions to the final shoot.[9] Following the release of the film, Frazetta returned to his roots in painting and pen-and-ink illustrations.

Agreed Death Dealer was one of my favourites too, I always thought it was supposed to be a Wraith rider. I was addicted to Gods by the Bitmap brothers around the same time this one caught my eye.

Fire and Ice is pretty much the iconic fantasy animation, if not fantasy movie of a Frazetta painting.
