Don't forget the baby murloc in space armor firing a machine gun into the air.

They're awesome.
Even better, if you've got the Zergling from the original CE, they'll fight and one will die.

From the perspective of WoW players, the biggest benefit will probably be that legally buying in-game gold won't even require you scratch off cards.

Makes sense to me - guy spends real money to buy cards, sells codes for the special items from said cards for in-game gold.
Of course that is assuming that any item codes you get from buying online cards are actually transferrable, they could be tied to your battle.net account or something.

We're no strangers to love. You know the rules and so do I.

I think it was more that blizzard was wanting an in-game counterpart and UD was not keen on having a cash cow disappear.
I also think Upper Deck making and selling bootleg Yugioh cards might have something to do with it too. Probably not a whole lot, but I could see it being the last straw that firmed up the decision.

That was my first thought as well. "This looks like they're testing out an appearance system's mechanics. Trying to find the bugs and do something somewhat nifty." Which is great, because some cloaks I've had have been awful..

They need to let you show your Guild Icon on the cloak. Then the Shield. Then let me dye my armor and we'll have advanced all the way back to DaoC level of technology!
