Out of the frying pan, into the fire.

"I don't care what Papa says!"

On the brighter side, they cut a dude's hand off to get his tracker off his wrist.

You exaggerate.  It was only his thumb.  ACK!

Over and out.

Jack Bauer gets stabbed in the gut, pulls the knife out and throws it straight into some other guy's neck.

He's a man's man.

Season doesn't start until he tortures someone.

Love how the monster Jack created in the previous season is cutting off thumbs and going into stabbing frenzies, and he's like "oh, yeah, she just needs time to recover".

Season doesn't start until he tortures someone.

Does it count if he is tortured and then pulls off another of his vaunted escape-and-kill-everyone rages?

24 became a parody of itself in the last few years but I still enjoy it. I think the moment the show jumped the shark for me was this season when Renee in a blind rage stabs Jack in the kidneys, he goes down but then rips the knife out and deftly pins one of the Russian dudes through the neck to the wall directly behind him. Even I had to shake my head and say 'No way. Get the fuck outta here.'

It does look like the series is going to end with a bang. I'd imagine they're going to pull out all the stops knowing these are the final episodes. Would be interesting to know if they've done any last minute re-writes and re-shoots.

I was drinking when I wrote this, so sue me if it goes astray.

This show is more hilarious than ever.  I keep expecting a little Charles Logan in a devil suit and an Ethan Kanin in white robes and a halo to pop up on each of that annoying president's shoulders.  And as if Jack Bauer isn't already a parody of himself, him knowing what Chloe was doing was just  awesome, for real

Over and out.

Charles Logan is the fucking man- the absolute fucking devil, but still the man.  In three hours around him, the president goes from

All life begins with Nu and ends with Nu.  This is the truth!  This is my belief! At least for now...

I've watched all the seasons of 24 - chortling through many, rolling my eyes through some - very much enjoying this one.

You guys are spot on with the comments.

I did manage to see that ending coming a mile away. No surprises there.

Edit for spoiler just in case someone has Tivo'd it and hasn't seen it yet.
