I think the moment the show jumped the shark for me was this season when Renee in a blind rage stabs Jack in the kidneys, he goes down but then rips the knife out and deftly pins one of the Russian dudes through the neck to the wall directly behind him. Even I had to shake my head and say 'No way. Get the fuck outta here.'
It does look like the series is going to end with a bang. I'd imagine they're going to pull out all the stops knowing these are the final episodes. I keep expecting a little Charles Logan in a devil suit and an Ethan Kanin in white robes and a halo to pop up on each of that annoying president's shoulders. And as if Jack Bauer isn't already a parody of himself, him knowing what Chloe was doing was just :awesome_for_real:
