Global Agenda and Huxley are most certainly MMOFPS. The Agency and APB from what I've seen are third person shooters, but there's no reason to label them differently.

Whatever happened to Huxley? Did that even come out? I remember being really excited about it a looooooooooong time ago.

2010 is seeing a huge number (comparatively) of MMOFPSs launch.

Is it? What's the scoop? I haven't been paying attention I guess.

Possible MMOFPS launches in 2010 include:

Huxley
APB
Global Agenda
Earthrise
The Agency
Dust 514 (maybe, but perhaps not)

So... pretty much just Global Agenda and APB.

It hadn't really occurred to me but WoW also has quite a few FPS elements now. The wintergrasp artillery and rockets are projectiles with some physics behind them rather than targetted and abstracted attacks as is normal for MMO's. I wonder if that's them testing out some technology and how it scales to large engagements?

You're laughing now, but we all know that someone (not at Blizzard) is pitching this very concept as I type this.

The artillery/cannons is just a ground target that doesn't obey LoS.

The RP-GG's might have some kind of physics in them, but they are really terrible physics if so.  awesome, for real

And since Cameron has already stated this will probalby be a trilogy of movies, expect the Avatar buzz to stick around or at least be repeatedly brought to the front periodically for the next few years.

Currently in closed beta but on the cusp of going open. NDA still seems to be in place.

So is there any chance it could actually be a good game?

With NDA still up?  Pretty darn unlikely.
