Or how to turn your player base into a horde of spam bots.

I can only imagine how much forum spam this will generate.

I think it has a smallish but relatively stable player base.  The game actually doesn't look nearly as bad as everyone made it out to be, and actually does look like its getting better. (One of the gaming blogs I read talks about the game alot, so thats all I'm really going on here).

He needs to implement multiple levels to his marketing, where you also earn a small % of their subscription fee and everyones sub that they sign up.  Figures darkfall would half ass it.

Believe it or not it's still running. The NA server actually has a somewhat healthy population due to it's cannibalistic nature.

That's a really interesting point.

You know what else has interesting points? Darkfall. You should give Darkfall a try - I think you'll really like it.

Click here to give it a shot!

I predict the next great MMO blends CME's fundrasing model and Darkfall's marketing campaign.

Is there a reason, besides the fact that everyone thought for years that Darkfall was Vaporware, that we are still coming down hard on that game?  It seems to have produced a small clan based PvP game, where you can do some fun stuff like own a town as a clan, own a house, do other stuff that a lot of people around here are theoretically clamoring for (yes, with full loot/douche bag players).

I mean, I haven't played the game, but I sort of lost track why we don't like it, as a forum.

I was rather fond of the game until the hacks became incredibly ridiculous.  Heartbreak

Obviously, because it's not as good as that one game everyone here likes.

It seems to me they've missed a trick here.

Why pay people real money when the players would be just as motivated to do this for virtual rewards? It's limited to current DFO subscribers so I'm sure they'd all be interested in the hardcore pvper's equivalent is of kung fu panda pets.

I have to say, some of the newer additions to darkfall look rather nice.

I had the same thought. Why give them real money when they would do the same for 5000 gold.

They sound nice on paper, but the implementation is always mediocre. Give me an example of a nice addition.

I have no idea of the competency of implementation. I was just reading some of the additions.

Stand down solider.  Ohhhhh, I see.

Putting this in with in-game rewards would make the hardcore PVP crowd explode into nerdrage in seconds.
