Fairly new game that's really gaining traction quickly (they're gonna need more servers shortly).  Basically, it's a traditional fantasy MMO but it runs in your browser largely automatically (it's light enough to play on an iPhone even).  You can sit in a dungeon all day without having to do much of anything (assuming you've got the right stats/gear); it'll just autoattack anything that comes along.  There's even a way to sell items while on the run, so you dont even have to go to a shop and there's a built in mule and recycle system.  Transportation to anywhere in the world is largely an instantaneous click; no travel times, no queues.

It's pretty much got all the normal DIKU-MMO stuff but just runs everything in the background on auto.   Great game to have running while you play/work.  It's all about killing monsters and taking their stuff, over and over.  Then taking that stuff, selling it, and/or taking it apart to make better stuff.

There's a guild UI and chat and all that along with Blackjack.  There's 3 factions to choose from and of course this means FvF/RvR along with the usual PvP.  Questlines are extensive (you dont even have to PvP really).  Assload of classes, races, and skills.  Boss mobs, Raid zones, etc.

A nice touch is that you can individually conquer areas for yourself, guild or faction and your name pops up as owning that particular slot of land.  (it'd be nice if they had a hexmap).

Stats largely are under-the-radar so you have to do some number crunching on your own to figure it out.  RMT is with "wishes."  The whole game can be played competitively w/o spending a dime.  Most of the RMT is just for convenience (like removing ads, starting a guild, etc.).  A chunk of the money spent also goes to a charity of your choice.

Overall, nice game with no flaws really for what it's designed to do.  Probably one of the fastest growing webgames out there right now.

cmon..
I know some of you loot-whoring, min-max grognards are playing this thing.
Damn thing is unrestricted PvP (and PvE for that matter) with very little meaningful RMT.  What else you want?

Elf tits, mostly.   Oh ho ho ho. Reallllly?

You could always stare at Evony ads.    awesome, for real
Actually, I've come across a few games that offer that - but, they do indeed suck.

Yeah, I know.  I suppose I will always have World of Porncraft for my heat induced elf tit fetish needs.   awesome, for real

Anyway, in as Ranja Trask.  I saw Morfiend, and Naum on the list of folks in chat, so I assume they're playing as well.

So far it isn't anything ground breaking, but it is something to do at work when there isn't any drama to be had in the Eve-O war threads.

I signed up. Started a fight, then minimized my browser. My character is .... logged out now. I dont think I will bother logging back in. Although being able to play a Vampire Pirate is pretty awesome.

Well yah, it aint ground-breaking but it's different (and sometimes different is indeed ground-breaking).  There frankly isnt anything else out there like it is there?  It's kinda like a MUD that requires minimal effort with maximum gain.   Takes most of your normal MMO tenets and basically trivializes them, which I find kinda funny.

I gotta say I like the KISS method crafting system.  You can basically make any type of gear (with any stat) you want if you've got the mats.

I'm in-game as "Infiniteless"  (werewolf-warrior)  In a guild called [OMUS]   Means, Outrageous Mixture of Underdogs Soaring...  heh, had to join.   why so serious?

Not holding my interest though.

FYI, if you want to join as something other than The Knights(good guy faction), create a character, then create a new character for 1 wish.  The 2nd character will be able to select a faction.  After that, delete the original character, and get your 1 wish back.

P.S.  FvF is bland as fuck from what I can tell.

It kept me amused for a bit. This is the progress-quest model (I assume) where the character pretty much slaughters monsters unattended and your personal investment is sorting loot and levelling up. This really narrows the game-play and the often broken or repetitive class skills make it even more so, there's not really enough strategy in configuring your character and many of the class / race combinations are massively redundant (whereas orc warrior with stacked passives is monstrous).

I will say though that their quests are pretty well written, in character and engaging. Far superior to some of the writing in Estiah that makes me cringe when I read it.

So I can increase my initiative, or increase my agility, or increase my initiative and my agility.

Huh.

It's the old trap of lots of places to spend points, and no indication whatsoever of what any of them do. I had to dig through a random fan-made guide just to figure out "don't put points into attack or rest."

I think it is not so much a game as a desktop toy. People chatting while their character farms and they get to see what shinies have been found.

I've been having a decent time with this as of late, mostly due to being in a guild, doing more FvF stuff, and really toying with crafting/enchantments.  I'd say w/o those elements the game would suck.
The biggest issue I've seen though are the ridiculous twinks you're routinely up against (since there are no levels to items) and the absurdity of this unwritten rule that you're not supposed to run if outmatched.  Apparently, a "runner" doesnt give you VXP... so you're supposed to just sit there and get wailed on.  Either way, the winner(s) take the zone for the faction anyways (which gives you better lootz and xp whilst farming/questing), but people bitch because it means they get no vxp (which is pretty much half the overall possible xp gain).

Word is there's supposed to be a fix soon for this though.

Like Kageru said, it's a nice desktop toy.  Mostly about min-maxing and toying with items.  The ability to craft any type of item you want is a powerful draw and the usual group synergies in PvP are there to play with for organized groups.  BUT, a single twinked lvl 5 can wipe an entire group of 20's if he's geared and statted right.

You actually can't craft any item you want, theres a few things that are drops only.  The % bonuses to stats and exp and magic find are not craftable.  Also being able to get bonuses from inventory items (charms and runes) is vastly overpowering for older players since you can have up sixty extra inventory slots.
