Setting up the league now. 14 spots. I am changing the roster settings after my efforts to spice things up failed last year.

QB, RB, RB/WR, WR, WR/TE, K, DEF

My team name is Bags of Douche, to reflect my success in recent years.

I left the scoring as the defaults except I boosted per reception points to 0.5 from 0.25 and included return TDs.  Willing to tweak if a consensus is reached.

Your live online draft is set for Tue Aug 25 5:30pm PDT [ Add to My Calendar ], which is 83 days, 5 hours, and 10 minutes from now.

Holy fuck. 83 days early and we can't get a weekend draft?  DRILLING AND MANLINESS

We can get a weekend draft. Do people want that? 5 yes and I change it. I like doing it after work myself and summer weekends are not usually spent near the computer.

If it's a Sunday night I'm solid with that. If you pick a Saturday, there's always a 50-75% chance I'm on the road with no access to my computer.

Sunday evening would be best for me too. The draft now actually works for me since I telecommute on Tuesdays, but if it was Wed-Fri there is no way I would be home from work in time. I am sure I am not the only Left Coaster who would like to play.

Is the league full already? The link just takes me to a message that I'm not a member of the league.

So when starts the gnashing of teeth from people that don't see this, and realize the league filled up in 24 hours, 80 days before the season started?  Oh ho ho ho. Reallllly?

I could make a post in Gen Disc, but I look forward to the "the JV league isn't the same thing. Screw you guys, I'm going home.  I need a tissue." post from the usual suspects.  They miss it every year.  They whine every year. It's precious.

That being said, I hate for some people to miss it.  I guess I can PM Phil so I can laugh at him this year again.

edit: Hah, there's already only one slot left.  Good thing my wife didn't go into labor yesterday.

I got 3 weekend rule and one weekends suck. Keeping it Tues the 25th for now since that doesn't actually hurt anyone.

IMO, we should just give dibs to the people who've consistently played over the years, and leave any extra spots and the JV and JJV and JJJV leagues as free-for-alls.

Apparently I got the last spot.  Good for me.

The Pants Party rides again! (but this time less 0-8 action).

It actually wasn't due to lack of trying -- it's because my team sucked.

I kept up with the league last year! I made the playoffs in JV :P
