Was there still no JV team setup?

I'll set it up soon unless another regular wants to run it.

The commish curse? If it's created I'll join, but starting the league usually means dead last, at least in my experience.

Ack, sorry. I'll be getting on that.  I promise.   Well, unless my son decided to turn me into a human burp rag like last night.

I urge everyone to look over the scoring rules.  I'm in several leagues and my drafts look VERY different depending on the scoring scheme.  I just drafted my team yesterday for a 12 team league where they require 2 starting QB and 2 starting RB's.  Talk about tough decisions...

See you all Tuesday.

Just a reminder that the draft's on Tuesday at 5:30 PST.  Which, I won't be able to attend because my mom's visiting.

Hopefully, autodraft doesn't decide to give me 3 quarterbacks before selecting a second WR.  Fucking autodraft.

Wife's birthday today so I probably shouldn't jump on the pc to draft.

But I'm tempted!

I'll be there to at least screw up my team in person.

I should be able to make it for the draft. If I don't I'll end up with 3 Wideouts, 2 kickers, and the Detroit defense.

The scoring and rosters are odd enough that my odd drafting might finally, albiet accidentally, turn out to be brilliant.

Going over the pre-draft rankings was useless. Some of these high rankings scare the crap out of me.  Steve Slaton a first rounder.  UGGG.

Autodraft is going to rape the shit out of me.

I didn't realize we went with 14 teams.  Uh, talents a bit thin at that altitude.

The NFL is questionable this year.  It should make this season more interesting.

I hope a thin roster will help mitigate that, but even Round 6 had little quality left.

Auto draft is shit. I have 1 QB, 2 TE (and there's not even a dedicated TE slot) and a buttload of RB's. Anyone want to trade me a GOOD QB for Winslow?

Either Raheem Morris is a genius or an idiot.  We'll see how this "three RB situation" goes down in the regular season.

It'd be even worse if Cadillac Williams plays anywhere near his rookie season, because he's been looking good in the preseason.

Haem, I thought your team looked pretty solid.  You're pretty light on WRs, but you're stacked on RBs (like me).

I could see about trading you Farve though, if you're willing to part ways with one of your starting RBs.

I might be interested in trading Cassel for a RB and a throw away QB that plays week 8.  If you have any interest in taking a gamble on Cassel.  I took a lot of gambles this year... about all I could do with the 12 pick.

Winslow or Gates are really my best trade bait, though if the QB offered is solid enough, I MIGHT let either Portis or Jackson go. I picked up Mark Sanchez as a backup QB for Rivers' bye week, but who knows how well that'll go. Cassell would be fine if he was still a Patriot. As a Chief? You gotta come with more than that.

And Favre? No, I think I'd rather lose in a fiery fire ball of hate than have that fucker on my team.

You're correct.  I was just tossing it out there.  Honestly, I have almost zero interest in a TE in a league that doesn't require a TE.

Take a look at my team.  I'll give you Cassell and a something for Sanchez and something assuming that Sanchez plays week 8.

Top 5 TEs should not be ignored even in our limited roster just for the reliability of steady points, but below that it is probably better to gamble on #2 and #3 WRs based on match-ups.

The autodraft proves itself retarded again, although I can see why it did it. It drafted based on ADP (average draft position) and since 99% of leagues have a dedicated TE spot, TEs got more weight than they should have in our league.  To account for this, I removed ALL TEs from my pre-draft rankings in case I missed the draft unexpectedly.

Getting my roster in order will not help me do any better than acting as a bye for my opponent.

I wish everyone the best of luck on this season.  I hope it will be entertaining.

Started Gage in my other league and forgot to activate him in this league.

Now you say that.  Well, that's a good looking 20 points on my bench.  :(

Oy hell. Left Gage on the bench in the JV league and he gets more points than Ward. Fucker.

Last time Gage played PIT he had 110 yds and a TD.  WR's are fickle, but sometimes history does repeat itself.

Ugh, left 15 points on my bench by not playing Devery Henderson.

Drew Brees is awesome, but not awesome enough to overcome the rest of my shitty team unless T.O. goes off the chain on Monday.
