As part of the Guild Wars 4th anniversary, they are offering a free extra Xunlai storage pane for a limited time.

To get it, log into your PlayNC account.  Go to the Store and choose the Guild Wars tab.  Add the Xunlai Storage Pane.  (It will say $9.99, it's okay.)  Use the coupon code FREESTORAGE, apply, and hit okay.  In game it will be the pane with the backpack as an icon.

Packrats rejoice!

How limited are we talking here? Did I miss it yet?

It doesn't say on the site.  (Plus I only read enough to find out how once I heard "more storage" + "free".)  You shouldn't have missed it yet since they're in the middle of their 4th anniversary, but I wouldn't put it off.

Make sure you do it from the web based store, not the in-game store.  You don't get to enter a code if you access the store from the game.

Over and out.

Or you could be like me, grab your pane and not play.

I really don't feel like it's aged well. And the sheer amount of grind they've tacked on over the past couple years is mindblowing.

Yea, I logged in to make sure I put it on the right account. When I looked at my PlayNC account, I had 2 seperate guild wars ones, and one wouldn't let me apply it. As such, I had to install the damn thing. Luckily, that's easy.

Was it really delays?  When EotN was released and they started pushing GW2 info, I could swear they were touting an estimated 2010 release.

Jury's still out if it's delays or things are progressing properly. They've been remarkably tightlipped for a company with a surefire hit on name recognition alone. That gives me an iffy feeling. I know, I know... we're all sick of the publicity cycle for these games starting so early and here I am bitching about the lack of publicity. It's the combination of silence and the proven nature of the IP that has me worried.

Considering the competance they've shown with GW compared to most MMO devs, I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt about things progressing fine until proven otherwise.

I interviewed with them a few years back, prior to the GW2 announcement.  They definitely had their act together back then, but that was when the general layout was for 3 teams to be pushing out expansions in cycles.  I'm not sure how the company is doing now with the sole focus being on GW2, but I haven't exactly heard of them having massive team attrition, so I'd consider that a good sign.
