Excellent news! I will make sure that I get in touch with you this year. Phone number still the same, yes?

But that Captain's salami tray was tight, yo. You plump for the roast pork loin, dogg?

How's the costuming?  How does it compare with, say an anime convention, since that is a point of reference I know?

This guy seems to be taking it pretty seriously

I don't know if this is awesome or horrible.  Direct link because it's buried in the thread:

http://www.tankspot.com/forums/f56/47133-real-life-onslaught-armor-17.html#post203991

He is talking about the shield weighing 20 pounds and how it was tiring him out after 30 minutes... Doesn't he realize that the armour is going to add another 40 pounds to that, if not more? I seriously doubt the guy who is making it is going to know how to make armour that hangs on the body correctly, let alone the guy ordering it knowing how to put it on.

Has anyone really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like?

Foam and foam-rubber would have been better choices. For all of it. He should have called up GWAR and found out who makes their costumes and hired them to make it.

You don't carry it on your arm for 30 minutes. That's what sheathing to the back is for. Not as simple as pushing Z, now is it?

For those who missed the email, you can buy all the stuff that will be available at the con ahead of time on a special sale, starting August 5th at 10am and ending August 7th at 10am.

It'll be at http://www.blizzard.com/store/.

That's actually really damn good news, as the first hour or two of any given BlizzCon was always given up to standing in line to buy stuff before the good stuff was sold out.

I don't think so - I don't think you can even do it if you weren't the person who actually purchased the tickets, even if you have a ticket in your name.

Got the swag I ordered - the messenger bag is pretty neat, it's actually large enough to fit my laptop, so I'll just use it as a laptop case.

Live stream's working fine.  Jay Mohr is failing to be funny at the moment, though, so I'm kinda hoping that the stream stops working to spare me from this.

Things I learned: Ing has a rockin' goatee. Were it not for the fact that he played video games, I might mistake him for a biker.

Eh, I don't really go to BlizzCon for the con itself anymore.

For me, it's mainly the opportunity to get to meet up with people, and go eating/drinking.

Playing the games was fun, but it was mainly just a bonus.

Undead was very under-represented this year. It was all about the draenei female this year.
