Anyone get it and care to comment? Seems to be getting a 80-90% across the internet sources.

MadWorld got everything right that I hated about No More Heroes. Both games are funny but MW gives me a Running Man vibe which keeps me interested whereas in NMH I only kept playing to see the boss fights.
NMH: Jaggy graphics, boring "open world" with boring side missions and boring motorcycle travel. Even more boring trash to get to the fun boss fights.
MW: Looks great, loses the open world which keeps things moving, energetic game show commentary and music, and the way you are rewarded for killing people in different ways encourages you to use the environment to find new ways to kill. Boss fights are icing on the cake.
Oh, and the waggle in MW (like NMH) doesn't detract from gameplay. Sometimes it's even fun.
MadWorld is worth at least a rental. I'd recommend a purchase but I don't know how long/short the game is and there may not be replay value.

I got this today instead of picking up RE5 (I'm sorry, that was one of the worst demos I've ever played).
It's fun so far. Kind of reminds me of something like Final Fight, but with the violence turned to 11, lots of personality, and fun environments. Bender providing commentary is always welcome.
Only gripes so far are that the standard controls are a bit annoying and the camera can get obnoxious.
I doubt this will be worth the purchase in the long run, but it's amusing, over-the-top fun.

Picked it up this evening, pretty awesome so far.

Bumping because it's still awesome, soundtrack is phenomenal. And I like the host banter as well, this is probably the only game I've ever played where that sort of thing doesn't annoy the hell out of me.

I'm done with gwiimmick games and MadWorld was the straw that broke that camel's back.
The art is beautiful, the concept is awesome and the language/blood is novel. All of it wears off about five minutes into the second level when you realize the whole game is simply an amalgam of other games already launched, only this one has a B&W coat of paint and fails to improve on any of its predecessors.
After the game settles into mediocrity, then I found the camera issues and the sheer repetition in game play. Camera issues are pretty much inexcusable in games anymore.
Next on the chopping block: QTE. That shit is hardly fun even for a little bit, but the Wii makes it even worse because the controls aren't precise enough like a PS2/3 game controller.
MadWorld is fun for the first level, mediocre for the second. I never went into the third, just traded it in for most of my money back.
It will be a great $20.00 title.

You should rent Ninja Blade Ninja Blade's demo was enough QTE for six lifetimes.

Well I guess I should scratch off that idea to make an MMO whose combat involves nothing more than QTEs to make it look and feel different from the current crop.

OP is assuming its somewhat of a design-goal of eve to make players happy. this is however not the case.

Finally played this. I concur with the general sentiment. Great presentation, totally mediocre gameplay.
1) Either the nunchuk is really shitty, or almost no one knows how to program good movement controls to it, because the analog stick controls were HORRIBLY sloppy. 2) Camera is annoying at times. 3) Waggle feels incredibly tacked on. 4) In fact the whole control scheme feels like they just mapped it from a controller of another system then sent a few moves to waggle as opposed to button combos. Talking about wasting the system's features. 5) The sound was LOUD, and way too much of the sounds overlapped each other until it was just a cacophonous mush of bad rap music and the announcers. 6) Felt like the ultraviolence and cursing was there just to be there. Juvenile. 7) Opening cinematics seem to have little to do with the set up of the game. Was left wondering why Ted Kennedy was talking smack about an island that had isolated itself from the country and what that had to do with Jack.
It was a rental I played 1 night, and I've sent it back. Meh.
