Do we actually need energy to defend the place or do I just park my guy there? I was wondering if I should just spend the energy doing some jobs while waiting fort battle to start.

There's some Eagles guys camping our town so I would only do this if you can't be dueled and no you don't need energy.

I'm going to escape, come back, wipe this place off the face of the Earth, obliterate it and you with it.

Everyone on the front wall should really stack on eachother. The walls to the left and right of the front gate that seem like they have a better vantage point than the gate itself.

I think stacking will push you either back a space or forward a space be mindful of that.

Ok then, moved.

Edit: Also, these descriptions suck, is the target where I'm shooting or where I'm trying to stay (and I just shoot randomly)? Because right now I have "Operation Get Behind Righ" in effect.

I'm confused by the UI and terminology too. Can we get someone experienced to join us in Chatzy at say 1pm Eastern to give us a quick tutorial?

The target is where your guy is going to try to charge to.  So if you park yourself on the wall and target something outside the wall, your guy's strategy is going to be to jump off the wall the first chance he gets.

Each turn, your guy will shoot at any bad guys he can see, and then try to move toward his target.  If his target is occupied by a bad guy, he'll prioritize shooting that bad guy, because he can't move to a sector occupied by enemy forces.

As a defender, your target should probably always be the same as your starting position, since the best defensive positions are all available to start in.  Attackers will use the target to either take up positions on the walls to start picking off defenders inside the fort or to charge the flag.

If you want to live longer, I'd park somewhere inside the fort rather than on the wall or towers.

I set my guy to start on one of the towers and then move to a roof. We'll see what happens ..

Actually if you sign up for the fort battle you are immune so you can work away apparently (didn't know that).

Yes it is a good perk but you need to go there first.

Yes, the Crater Lake response has been awesome. Could you invite them to our fort schild? We should at least give them the use of the bunks to heal up if they need to. If we survive, they deserve a place, if we lose, it don't matter.

Why not just start on a roof?  All you accomplish by starting on a tower is giving almost everyone on the enemy team a free shot at you on the first turn.  With the numbers we're facing you might not even survive long enough to get down off the tower.

DO NOT DEPOSIT ANYTHING INTO THE RESOURCE STOCK. I'M DESTROYING IT IN CASE OF WORST-CASE SCENARIO.

Wouldn't be much different than starting on one of the front walls would it?

Correct.  Starting anywhere that is visible from outside the fort (walls or towers) is suicide IMO.

In case it is not clear, you can start anywhere inside the fort.  You do not have to start on the walls or towers.

Actually, since we are now looking at fairly even numbers it makes sense to stack on the towers. If they zerg one and we lose the people on it, all the other towers will have line of sight on the attackers. So if you've got time in the next 50 minutes and are in one of the inside buildings, drag yourself over to a tower for the opening salvo. Unless the numbers turn against us suddenly, we can win from these odds.

Whatever you do don't start on the flag sector apparently it gimps your attack value. Oh and you can change position by dragging and dropping your little guy.

Can enemies climb the walls, or do they have to come through the gate?

You have shot ar6 and he passed out!

Hey, managed to last 2 rounds with my 190 hp, did about 140 damage. Looks like defenders are doing not too bad as of now...

If you get that "reloading the page might help" error, try reloading the page.  Worked for me.

I took screenshots all through the battle and will see if I can make it into an animated gif.  But first:
