Got around 90 exp in 2 hours. Would have been 130 but i lost a duel to a last round lucky strike. How exactly does one begin their class quest? Does it branch off from the normal quests in the saloon?

You guys know you can see your available 'work' items by opening the Work window and clicking on 'Money' or 'Exp' to see which ones give you the most, right?

With the 'Automation' premium bonus you get a list of all your available jobs.

I see you gave them money, Viin.

No, you get a few days of Automation for completing a quest. They let you sample the RMT for free. But that list is handy so I  decided to renew once it stopped showing up. Fuckers. If it was just the 4 queue I wouldn't do it.

Is there any strategic reason to found the towns around us?  There's a lot of spots real close.

None. We don't have the resources to control all the town points.

Just requested an invite for a little bit to you, Lorekeep.  Please.

OK, big question ahead...  How are you building your characters for what you want to do?  I originally wanted to be a trapper to fund the town, so I pumped a bunch into Dex and traps.  I'm a level shy of being able to hunt turkey, but I can't do anymore quests because I don't have the skill.  I'm stuck on the beans and repairing fences.  So do I just suck it up and grind out this level slowly, or what?  I have a feeling that although they said you can't mess things up in the early game, I actually did.

Maybe I should start over as a duelist/soldier.

I admit, I did. It is really useful, so is queuing up 4 jobs (approx 8hrs worth) while at work. It's pretty cheap to get automation for 2 weeks, something like 5 gold nuggets or $1.90.

The full set of Premium Bonus's (4 of them) for 2 weeks costs $7.45, or $14.90 a month. But you really only need 1 or two, it's really pretty cheap. (Nice they give you the option to buy just want you want/need for whatever you are doing at the time, keeping the monthly cost down if you don't buy it all).

Here's a screenie of what the Work screen looks like with the Automation bonus:

edit: what you can't see is column headers, which allow you to sort by any of the columns. Here it's sorted by Money.

Ah hahahahaha. So it's YOU. :P

Well, what do you want me to do? I can tell him "If you play dead he might stop pawing your corpse and run off. Or he just might curb stomp you. You can never tell with these savages."

I'm not sure our stats are high enough to be a bully, though we technically are the dominant force in the county.

You should tell them to stop being victims. Any of those builders should have a high enough strength to duel effectively with a melee weapon, I do. And I'm lethal.

I could alternate counties for my duel runs if you want to avoid pissing off neighbors.  I was staying close to cut down on travel time.

Is your interface laggy/bugged?  I can't change my duel stance.

Multiple bat country folk basically just sit in the towns near us farming them. Ive noticed several duelists of ours bouncing around the same spots. How do i get my duelist quest weapon?!

Boy you guys sure are pissing off the locals. :) Are you gonna respect a Treaty if I put one in place?

Aez in particular is pissing off new Avalon something fierce.

Im just dicking around till im big enough to head east. Im a level 10 weakling havent even seen someone from avalon. One guy who i dueled twice has apparently left his town for to be safe. I figure the smart tactic is to have all the combat people get strong then head pretty far east so retaliation becomes a choir.

I have no problem respecting a treaty.

EDIT : we could plan a little surprise on New Avalon.  We wait until 5-7 of us a rdy to duel, we all move to New Avalon, someone duel their lvl 20 duelist and post the result.  The other 6 use the info to fuck him up.  Sounds fun.

You dont seem to understand. Targets for dueling in abundance in the east. They have to move a huge distance to retaliate. If you are a duelist nothing gives more exp/cash. So you can unload your bar of energy in 15 mins then rest. As opposed to having to trek all around our sparse little corner.

I don't understand dueling, but I do know that each person to challenge me has lost. I have a boomerang for fucks sake. A BOOMERANG! Oh well, I like the money. What skills should I be hitting for? I have crazy high shooting and aim, some put into tactics and dodging.

When attacking "appearance" is the stat used. Defending its tactics. Jake frost is 4 levels higher than me and i only have a slingshot. cry Toughness is the defense stat used against melee. Dodge versus ranged.

Had a nice little duel (which I lost Oh ho ho ho. Reallllly? ) with their top duelist, this is what he had to say during our brief conversation.

"why are you guys attacking our weakest member? that show kind of poor non classy strategy. attack me instead. how about it? in fact tell your town i want to be your main focus when dueling. or find an opponent whom you could beat."

 awesome, for real

edit: Duh. His name is "studgunner3"

Their weakest member is 3-4 levels higher than me. I dueled every single available member of their town till i ran out of energy and won every time. Jake Frost (from the same town) was 3 levels higher than me yet had no qualms attacking me. Go duel the level 15-18 guys in his town they have about 30-50% life. If they drop to 0 all their work and money is forfeit.

All cash he has on hand vanishes. I dont believe the challenger gets it all by default. All activities they have queued are canceled without having the action points refunded. And i believe they are returned to their home town. You can basically cripple a towns ability to do anything by just knocking out their workers over and over. Is there anyway to exchange money? So we can try to ransom them?

Yeah, I probably lucked out today. I got nailed for 169 from a duelist and I was working on breaking in horses at the time (52 percent danger). I canceled it after an hour and didn't take hits. But if I had...

Ok, that's a funny one.
Studgunner3, New Avalon's highest dueler, trash talks me with a telegram. He tells me I should prepare for perpetual defeat. He then proceed to give me a free 60 xp.
hahaha.

It's hilarious if you read his telegram :
