There's a 4x10 grid in the lower right corner of your screen when you're scrolling around the minimap.  The "global map" in your screenshot is one of those 40 squares.  At least, that's if I'm understanding the interface right.

Town foundations shouldn't be based on low level areas. We're all going to be Lv. 10 and rollicking in cash before we should be thinking about a town.

Towns only need one or two workers. The rest can be Duelers, Soldiers, or Adventurers. It all depends on what you want to do... PvP or cash generation / quests.

Oh, that right. Yea, bottom right hand corner (THE bottom right hand corner). Fuck the old west is big (like really damn big).

I'm only a couple screens away from you.  But like Lore says, I think it's probably premature to be picking out a spot for a town.

Haven't figured out what I want to be yet.  Hopefully I get to sample the PvP before I have to commit, since my choice will probably depend on how much I like that part of the game.

I wasn't picking a place for a town, just looking for a great place to grind, particularly while I sleep. This is a great place.

kk.  I'll start working my way down there.

I really like the skill system in this game, with labor points being the sum of five different modifiers.  Synergies make my inner min/maxer go  DRILLING AND MANLINESS.

At Lv. 14 you can also slowly rspec.

I just noticed that the world map is the same between worlds. So we want to be looking at towns in World 8 that are huge in World 7.

Does every world play out the same?

Aez - world 8.

How do you play this game?  The first task I did took 15 min.  I hope some task are longer.  I can't play from work.

When you start a task, you can specify how long to spend at it, up to two hours.  You can also queue up a couple of different tasks (it looks like one of the RMT options is to queue up four at a time).

I'm just a few squares north of shild... 6 and ahalf hours walking time. I expect it would take days to get to the west side of the west.

Look around when you start getting tired: There are "Founding Towns" where you can go to the Hotel to rest up. It may be several hours away but the amount of time you'd save going there is monumental. Right now New York is in the right-most grid, second from top.

For those people in the bottom right quadrant, in the bottom most right hand corner, inside that white square is Richmond.

It's 1 hour 17 minutes from the spot I posted yesterday with the 3 resources. Wish I'd known about it before going to bed, haha.

Edit: Who knew I'd be picking cotton with Rendakor and viin. Haha. (I wonder how many other people are playing and haven't said anything)

I found Boston in the top right grid. All of these east coast cities really need an ocean to be on don't you think?

I also started in the lower right grid (game needs a grid system) and am hovering around here doing quests, ill work my way around slowly.

Is Richmond a player town?

I can't stand this game, I set sugar for 2 hours and didn't care to come back...

A nation consists of its laws. A nation does not consist of its situation at a given time. If an individual's morals are situational, then that individual is without morals. If a nation's laws are situational, that nation has no laws, and soon isn't a nation.

These founder towns don't seem to appear on the main map. You have to scan around for them. It kind of sucks.

You can't filter for the founder towns; however, on the minimap they do show up as little grey diamonds. Which is a real kick in the seat to find, since they're -almost- the same color as the map's background/terrain.

Ahhh, "ghost towns."

I just found Washington in my little rectangle.  Does every rectangle have one?

Sweet, I was wondering where the hotels were at.  I'm only about an hour from Richmond so I'll see you all there shortly, I reckon.

I'm 45 minutes out of Washington myself; I'll be queuing up for it shortly. Anyone getting close to the amount of scrilla for founding?

I'm about halfway there.  The levelling curve in this game is very decent.

I'm going to continue to do quest where i am, then tonight i will set my guy to walk to Richmond, and sleep at the inn, because the total time for that is about 9 hours.

I am now picking berries for 4 hours. I went ahead and bumped up the main stats, which bumped up everything, and putting on that +5 toughness hat opened up a shitload of tasks. Berries seems far more lucrative than most shit AND it's right south of Richmond ^_^.

Currently my build is basically being dictated by the jobs that quests point me at.  I wish I had a better idea of what play is like at the higher levels so I'd know what stuff I should start focusing on.
