Looks interesting and well-constructed. I've just started playing.

Looks like it could be good.  Keep us posted; if you don't hate it a month from now I'll figure it's worth trying.

One interesting factoid.  Instead of going with the replenishing point pool method of activity control, which lets you pick when you want to do your stuff during the day, this game actually has you do stuff in realtime.  So if you need to pick cotton for a quest (and you do) and it takes an hour with walking time, it really takes an hour.  More like Eve's realtime skillup system, except applied to everything.  Haven't decided if I like it.  Probably not.

THIS IS THE MOST I HAVE EVERY WANTED TO GET IN TO A BETA

I'll build a village and let you know. I'm fascinated by it: when you are out and about you can be engaged, but your character needs to sleep after his energy is expended. So when you go to bed, your character goes to bed.

They are starting two new worlds on Monday and Tuesday. I can see myself playing this awhile so I'm going to run a character on 7 and on 8. I'd like to get started on a fresh territory and use the World 7 one as a sort of... "What to do."

Edit: Building my first town. It literally takes 8 hours and afterwards you'll have to rest for another 8 hours or so because of the consumed energy. Towns are a serious investment though. It's the only place to sell items to make more money, and the only place you can rest up to get energy back quicker. I'm curious as to if there is secondary income or the such if people stay at your hotel or sell at your store. Would be neat.

Still playing this game, though I do not find it terribly interesting.  Once your town is going can I join it?  In exchange I am happy to help out with whatever.

You can join my town. It's The Outback, just telegram Lorekeep. However I should warn you that I'm going to put more of my focus into World 8 once it comes live since it'll be fresh. I'll even do some RMT to show I'm SERIOUSSSSSS.

But yeah, to me, World 7 is Beta and World 8 is Retail.

Sure. Making a town is expensive. It only costs $300 to start but to get your first building requires upwards of 2000 cash. Not so much if you have everyone donating money, but kinda expensive if you're doing it by yourself.

However, it is definitely a warm feeling when you create the only hotel in the area. But I'm curious if you make any money when people use your stuff. Towns as a complete money sink seems meh.

My best advice is to just follow the quests until it puts you up against a cockblock (Get a Donkey / Do Turkey Job) that requires you to be min. Lv 15 or something.

I made it to Lv. 9 pretty fast then things... slowed... doooooown. But Lv. 10 is where you can pick a class.

World 8 should be going up 7 am on Monday.

Should we make Bat Country?

I think it'll be a learning experience for everyone come monday. We tend to organize decently though when a game doesn't suck wind through a tailpipe.

Edit: And I think it's safe to assume that we should let Lorekeep take the reins on this one.

German company, so I'd suspect somewhere between 8 and 10am EST. Maybe.

I'm level 8 on World 7 as Xanthippe.  I'm stuck, I guess.  I have two quests in my book, but lack the labor points to do either.  How do I get more labor points?

To make a new gal on World 8, do I make a new account?

What part of the world is your town on World 7?

I don't know anything about this although I've been playing a few days.  I don't even know what the different classes are or what they mean.

It's the 10th here already and world 8 still isn't up. I didn't know it was possible to live more than 24 hours into the future!

Yeah, I was looking for world 8 too. I started a guy just now on world 7 to get an idea of what the game is about. I expect I'll delete or abandon him once world 8 is up.

It depends on what you want to do later on down the line. Thankfully when you hit Lv. 14 you can respec slowly over time. For now I found Charisma to be a good stat to raise as Trading, Leadership, Animal Instinct and the such are good stuff for low level missions. Hang onto your skill points until you need them for a specific quest to advance.

As of this post it was between 15:30 and 16:00 server time. So any minute now.

Do a search for Lorekeep or The Outback. We're located in the bottom left corner of the world, one grid right of the southwest corner, towards the southwest corner of that grid point (so all the way at the bottom and one grid right of the very west grids). No need to make a new account, it seems.

I'm hoping when we start on World 8 we are all located at a central location.

Will create an account tonight if I can remember and find the time.

A nation consists of its laws. A nation does not consist of its situation at a given time. If an individual's morals are situational, then that individual is without morals. If a nation's laws are situational, that nation has no laws, and soon isn't a nation.

I'm on the easternmost side of the game, 3 grids down. Doesn't necessarily mean where the town should be founded as I hate walls.

Just follow the quests at the beginning.

Lorekeep, is it worth scouting out an area of town based on resources and such and then have everyone go there, or does all that shit not matter and a town is self-sufficient.

I suppose I'm asking, how does the town system work. Do want to craft.
