Edit #2: Shadowsong server now. Cenarius sucked.

For the moment, Haemcow, the Tauren Warrior, is on Mal'Ganis. I may end up playing on Blackhand or an RP server if I can get a friend of mine to move there.

Moved to Shadowsong.  Cenarius was looking like a problem server.  1-6 in 50 minutes, woo woo.

Still, Rasix, Troll Shaman.  Sorry to anyone I inconvenienced with this.

I don't see Shadowsong on the server forums, must have been added since yesterday then I guess?

BTW,  why did Cenarius suck and how is that server better? :)

It was getting queues due to crowding (like all the rest) and I guess they took it down a number of times, too, along with other servers.  They also had a problem where a number of servers disappeared from the in-game selection list, so you couldn't get back to your character, and I think Cenarius was one of them.

The new server names they added have not been listed on the forums, which may contribute to their uncrowded state, but personally I think it will take till Monday / after Thanksgiving for the playerbase to actually stop growing at a rate that Blizzard can't handle.

Nothing will be set in stone until things cool down a bit and they decide where to move half of Archimonde anyway.  People madly racing to level on these PVP servers is alarming, too, from a "how much griefing will there be" perspective.

Due to being on "problem" servers in other games before, my friend and I just decided to make a preemptive strike.  Cenarius was having more problems than just about every pacific server there.

Shadowsong still has lag, but it least it's not home to Afterlife and it hasn't been down for 50% of the time.

I made a cow on Mal'Garis, then a couple of orcs. The server took about 45 minutes to get into for that pleasure last night. When it stopped responding, and the client timed out, it gave me the chance to queue again. So I went and created an orc on Cenarius. That server poofed, and I went back to Mal'Garis. However, I get insane lag there, disconnects, and queues. This afternoon, I've managed about 20 minutes of play in two hours of attempting to.

I'm getting bored of levels 1-5. I may just pick a random lightly loaded, recently added server and play there.

Hey, any of you want to set up a guild after the pops cool down a bit? PvP, Normal, I don't care. I was gonna join Morphiend, but I haven't been able to log into Mal'Ganis since last night.

So..We should do it. Everyone's playstyle here is pretty similar, so it'll probably work out.

Shadowsong seems pretty sparse and laid back so far.  Anyone's welcome to join me. I've got 2 friends I'm playing with, but I'm open to setting up a guild if anyone wants to.

I don't know where I am anymore.  I have characters scattered everywhere.  I won't wait in a queue and I couldn't deal with some of the packed n00b towns so I ended up making character after character...  the highest level so far is 8, on a server I can no longer log into.

So... I'll let you know my name and server if I ever find myself again.  And instead of a guild, I'll probably join up with the New Age Travellers, smoke copious amounts of pot and listen to horrid Grateful Dead music.

WTF.

Pretty much doin' the same here, Signe..WTF is right.

A little off topic, but how do race wars work on the Normal servers? I can play both Horde and Alliance characters, right? But what limits are there? Will I ever be able to trade between characters, etc..stuff like that?

You pretty much have to enable PvP on yourself by doing one of several specific actions in order to participate.  Read here.

Everybody playing on fifty servers is bad enough. They only have two RP servers, so if everyone plays there it'll certainly free up enough room for you to get some value from the game. :P

Earthen Ring. You'll make Haemcow on Earthen Ring and like it! It's RP Eastern. The only one and brand new. So no population...yet.

They don't have an RP for Mountain (Yet? Last I saw?) so I'm on Cenarius. No problems yet for me, personally. It seems rather relaxed today.
