I'm looking for a daily supply (50-200) of cedar and/or leather. I have oil, perfume, bronze, sculptures, and a small daily supply of jewelry. I'll do 1-1 for raw materials, and 2-1 for luxury.

New city question:
I'm in 166N on Cedar. Probably ready to build second city by tomorrow morning. I'm thinking of setting up in 147N for Leather. My god now is Amun, Leather city god would be Set, I realize that is just about as suboptimal as possible for god selection
But, I think the dual market existence would be very nice. Cities would only be 5 odd hours away, not too bad. I'm hoping to be able to buy in one market and sell in another. My current market has a dearth of Kohl/Leather/Oil stuff, so I'm thinking this has a good chance to work.
I'm probably going to go with the military trifecta, and do bronze for third city.
Anyway, so I was wondering what those of you who have started second cities think of this plan.

Have my 2nd city set up so now I'm serving up sandals *and* sculptures. Don't really need much specific so I'll just take whatever you got in trade. Prefer scrolls in game. I have more sandals than sculptures because the 2nd city is very new. I'm cranking up production as fast as I can.

Yes yes, emeralds. Jewelry is hot right now, as it seems required for every level above like 2 or 3, and gold seems pretty plentiful. Perfume, on the other hand, is a niche item at the moment; same with cosmetics. Henna's good because two crafted items require it. Cedar is always needed, though not so much in the later levels.
I'm curious how military will change the economy of this game....

I'm curious how military will change the economy of this game....
Cedar, bronze, leather. Although apparently spearmen require no wood in their spears.  I imagine they're still trying to sort out militaries on the basic design level. |
