Can you set up boat-less trades/swaps with near neighbors through the markets? For example, I desperately need cedar. I set up a buy order at an absurdly low price (e.g., 50 cedar at 0.1 each). One of my nice neighbors (Samwise? Viinahz?) sees the order and fills it, and then they set up a buy order for my rare (emeralds) at an absurdly low price (e.g., 50 emeralds at 0.1 each), and I fill it. There's some extra cost involved (market fees), and it requires trust (I'll fill your buy order after you sell me your goods cheap), and it's limited to market ranges (e.g., 2 Nomes for my lvl 2 market). BUT...it doesn't take any ships at all. Any takers? I've got emeralds aplenty.  Whats your name in game? Ill ship you some ceder for some emeralds. |

I haven't sussed trade either, yet, although I've built an exchange. I might just like building stuff though I realise I'll have eventually do other things. I'm a wee bit OCD about having empty plots. It might ruin me.

I'm currently upgrading my market. It'll be a few days before Sam's cedar reaches me, but at least I'll be able to trade locally within half a dozen nomes by then.

I've done rather well finding the stuff I need with buy orders. Paid about 10 per on the emerald, and like 5 per on the gold for the lvl 4 palace. Henna and oil were around 7 I think.
I have found you can make some money off bricks too. They are used so heavily that someone might need another 50 on an upgrade and overpay for em.

My advice would actually be to build up your bread/brick/basket/pot infrastructure first, as ships won't be all that useful until you've got the basics all built and start needing to make deals for luxury resources. That said, once you're set to start shipbuilding I'll hook you up.

That's fine. I'm working on all of them, but need to increase my wheat production because I always seem to need more bread. I have the brick/basket/pot shops working hard for me. Ra makes me work hard. |

My starting area is called "raaped". I can't imagine this is auspicious. Amusingly enough oil is my starting resource; I would guess made from raaped seed?
I started in the same nome and had more or less the exact same reaction. Now at least I know where to begin Ard, Oil, Raaped |

I'm not sure what good bronze is but the shit I gots is selling! Also had an offer for a 100 cedar to 100 bronze trade. I'll be taking that as well. I'll be able to get that bronze to ya like sunday when I get back from hunting :)

I'm pumping Bricks and Bread out like crazy. Once I can stabilize my Wheat/Bread productions I can start upgrading my clay pits and make statues by the hundreds.

Word to the wise: don't ever run out of bread. I spent myself to 0 bread through the market, and even though I had positive bread production, my peeps suddenly started working at 50% efficiency. That of course actually did fuck with my brad production, and shit started to go south in a hurry.
