The temple seems to grant certain resources. Each side/section of the nile has different gods. Each god probably yield something different, until people get temples, we won't know about tier 2 stuff.

Yeah. I had to build and tear down and build to do it, but with the money from selling cedar at 10-15 each plus some trading directly for stuff it wasn't too hard. I'm sure I will suffer in the late game when nobody needs cedar anymore.

I have a ship, more on the way, and a good stockpile of cedar.  Who wants a trade?  I'm particularly looking for oil, gold, and emeralds right now, but I'll take any 1:1 trade between cedar and any other rare.  (No worries if you don't have a ship yet yourself due to lack of cedar; just pay me back once you've built one.)

Yep I'll trade 25 Gold for cedar so I can get my first ship built.  My village is called Sepermeru in the Rafeka nome.  Ruler name is Set Jnr.  I got the bread to make the ship straight away as soon as i get the cedar so as long as we arent half the world away I sholdn't be too long in paying you back.

We are in fact half the world away, but it's on its way.  Should be there in a few days.   

My next ship should be ready to go in a couple of hours, and I've got 50 more cedar stockpiled.  First come, first served!

I killed the post, I don't think other people are looking for other folks, why would you need to go click on them, you can't even view their cities. I was just pulling from the other thread. And when you want to trade or talk with someone, you're in a situation to type their name in, hence why the screennames are listed above in the fashion they are.

I think you need to know the nome the other player's in before you can send stuff to them by ship; there isn't any place I can see where you can just type in a player's name and get a link to their cities.  (I'm in Osirisbennu.)

Nobody else for straight 1:1 trades?  I'd like to avoid the 10%-gouging market if at all possible.

I don't have 25 henna, and won't for a few days. I want to finish the city first.

Correct.  And to build a ship you need cedar.  Which I gots.    

I ship you however much cedar you want (need 25 to make a ship), you make a ship, you ship me back an equivalent amount of your rare.


I'm stuck being unable to upgrade my palace any further until I can get some emeralds and oil.  And NOBODY is selling either for ANY price, even though there are about ten emerald cities and five oil cities within one nome of me.  WTF.  So for now I'm just collecting any rare I can get for a reasonable price since they'll all come in useful sooner or later.

Well yeah it is obvious, but there are enough browser games that got abused by multi's even when there where checks and active attempts to ban/stop it.  Maybe they are trying a 'if we don't mention it no-one will think of it' approach, or maybe they haven't thought of it themselves, or they don't care or its on next months to-do list.  Don't know, but I know where this beta round is heading...

I was wondering how, for example, Fordel discovered that Ing was one zone above him, and thus found that trades would be quick.

You can search for Zones. Ing told me his Zone, I typed it in the search box and poof, there was Mularn, ruled by Ing the merciless :) The Trade window will tell you how long it will take to trade once you find the specific town.
